With a little help reading instructions, once they have the hang of it kids can do loads of different circuits. It's brilliant for my Son who loves circuits and seeing how things work and go together. It really helps build an understanding especially with electricity. It's cool how you can use the circuits on the base provided to stop them slipping and moving. And there's different experiments to interact with such as noise activated alarm, forward fan to launching propellor and loads more. It's great for one to one time with children. Simple for children to use. Personally the cost is a bonus. I've had no issues with it at all.

Well made. Easy for a 3 year old to understand and build something practical. But the makers have been very thoughtful because if you read the description of each circuit you can see that it has been layered with progressively more detail suitable for a much older child. It's a wizard piece of kit!

Great product, my nine year old found it really easy to use and he grasped the concepts of circuits and electronics really quickly with it. It’s safe and very educational.

Brought for a birthday present and it is a lovely toy. But the logical minded child found it annoying that the picture on the box inexplicably shows a 6 x 8 board and not the 5 x 7 board we have purchased. (she wanted to copy the set up).Some pieces appear not to work however I am not sure if thats us or them!

This encourages a thoughtful process, making it highly recommended.

My children (6 and 8) are loving this. The instructions are easy to follow and circuits easy to click into place. The fan is a particular favourite, though the motor can run a little on the loud side. Excellent value for money and made for a great birthday gift for my 8 year old.

This is well made and looks great after opening. The Dads piled in to 'help' my Grandson and everyone had really good fun. All of the componant parts are tough, durable and brightly coloured. They are also very simply coded to help assemble the many, many projects.My warning is also clearly detailed in red in the instruction book. Dads and grandads who tend not to read instructions (me included) TAKE NOTE there are a number of tips that will solve frustrations, but in particular is the warning about the 'helicopter' rotor propeller. It is not joking when it says the spinning rotor can fly up in your face. Not only did our very first flight do that it his my fit, muscular 35yo son in law square on the nose and caused copious nose bleeding! Had we read the booklet first, that wouldn't have been an issue. Our fault, not the kit!The booklet is quite thick and sufficiently detailed. It is one of the best set of instructions I have seen. Everything is explained clearly in plain English. It explains each component and colour/symbol code for each. It really makes the kit easy, without taking away the fun. Also, the book explains each project and how it relates to real world appliances. You can learn a lot from this.My Grandson was chuffed to bits. It was one of his three favourite presents. He loved it. His mum was quite impressed too! I think she would have played with it if the Dads had let it go!

Amazing resource for all ages. Comes with a booklet that gives clear pictures of how to put together circuits, with explanations and also scientific drawings of circuits. I've found it great with my PDA kiddo as she gets to teach herself using the simple instructions.The circuit snaps together with little buttons, there are no sharp parts or anything dangerous, though the battery cover comes easily off and some of the parts are quite small, so while age 3-4 could tinker with it, it would be under eagle-eyed supervision only!Cannot praise this product enough, so fun and I love tinkering with it too, 188 different circuits can be made and it doesn't take up much space either!
