Very impressed with the quality of these headphones. Quality of sound is excellent. Easy to follow instructions for setting up. Headphones are comfortable and hug the ears well. Highly recommend.

Recently purchased for my elderly nan who is 84 and hard of hearing she has no problem using them easy to setup just plug and play. she can now have the tv as loud as she likes without disturbing her neighbour. good quality abit pricey for what they are but very hard to find wireless headphones you can use with an older style tv. would recommend to anyone looking for tv headphones.....

I’ve been going progressively deaf over the last 10 years or so. One ear’s useless and the other is struggling. It got to the stage where merely turning up the volume on the TV was not an option. If there were no subtitles, there was no speech.These phones work really well. The TV can be turned down so my wife can also enjoy a film without her ears bleeding. It’s almost overwhelming.The phones were comfortable, once they got used to my head. They stretch after a few hours. The stand/charger/transmitter is not unattractive, and soon blends into the background.Downsides: there is the occasional click. It’s no real problem.If I plug the transmitter into the rear of the TV, either by RCA or 3.5mm connectors, the speakers are silenced. Whilst this is a way of teaching others what you go through all the time, it is unlikely to generate domestic harmony. I’ve plugged mine into the rear of the BT box. I was worried that it might not be synchronized, but it is spot on.The volume control on the phones doesn’t go low enough. It might be a feature of the way I’ve connected it, but that doesn’t make it ‘my’ fault.Not cheap to buy, but I’m well pleased. TV without subtitles is a welcome change for me.

Since purchasing the Avantree 280 Headphones I have delayed making any comment about them until I had time to evaluate them.(1) As a very Senior Citizen I have found them to be an excellent purchase for someone of my age.(2) Set up was very easy with a comprehensive guide inside the box.(3) One press of the relevant audio signal button which changes from red to green instantly and you are connected and vice versa to disconnect.(4) The audio sound is excellent and very clear and somewhat louder then I've experienced in the past, and volume settings are very easy once you have got use to the position on the headphones.(5) The headphones themselves completely cover the ears and shut out any outside noise, at first when I first put them on I found them to be very tight fitting on the head but this has got easier in the time I have had them. Overall they are an excellent buy at the price for someone getting on in life who maybe has a hearing problem or not and the fact you can easily change the batteries in the headphones is a bonus.

I'm 76 this year and my hearing is none too good. However once I connected my Avantree headsets to my TV it took me back 40 years. I did find the volume not so acceptable with the digital cable but once I switched to the coaxial lead it just boomed through. Excellent product would recommend it to all especially those with hearing problems

Super headphones AND EVEN BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE
Purchased this product in Nov of 22....Use them probably max 3 times a week and some weeks not at all....Suddenly it will not charge....Previously i had purchased a cheap 40 dollar unit at the local electronics store and it lasted 4 years without a hitch, and still works but battery only holds charge for like 2 hours. Thats why i purchased this one. The reviews were great. BUT battery i presume is already shot.....UPDATE.....I thought i would give AVANTREE customer service a text....MAYBE they had an idea or two to solve my problem.....WOW.......Folks.......a year and a half after purchasing this unit they are sending me a new one...THAT is customer service......I had been communicating with Janice from Customer Service and she was amazing..i HIGHLY recommend buying from this company. They not only stand behind there product but go above and beyond for there customer....There are no other words.......Thank-you Avantree and Janice in customer service

Easy to connect. Really great to be able to hear the tv well with high quality sound range. Particularly good when someone else listening to music or watching other tv. Only complaint is buttons are almost flush and hard to control without removing earphones.

When I installed the headphones I could hear a slight low level hum in the background. I contacted Avantee online customer service and left a note. Within a day I received a phone call from Tech Support, who suggested a few remedies. Ultimately this did not solve the problem.Avantree rush shipped a new device to my home, that arrived in two days. The new set is perfect. The sound is great and functions exactly the way I had hoped it would. They are comfortable, easy to set and work great.This is the best customer service I have ever received from a company. Simply outstanding.

Simple, easy, works, sounds OK.
Build quality is very good. Does NOT feel like cheap junk.Adjustment is simple, but good solid metal and plastic.The analog inputs work well with many devices. I have mine on an audio mixer.Input selection by switches is set-and-forget. never have to touch it again.The headphones sit nicely on the base for charging, and fit with a satisfying quality.You can tell you've got it right by touch.The batteries are just NIMH cells that are VERY easy to replace if they wear out.If you forget about these in a box for a decade you can recover them with $5.00 in batteries. A+The cushions are decent quality and fit nicely over my large ears.One star down for sound quality due to a very VERY minor hissand I found the Bass far too Boomy / loose for me.Tightened up with an Equalizer alright.A good Budget pair of Easy to use no-nonsense no-bluetooth wireless headphones you can use with your analog audio gear.Would buy again. I want a pair at work now.
