5.0 out of 5 stars This little guy packs a punch!
This little amp drives my 3-way speakers very nicely. Nice clean sound and bass. It's small and compact and will save you space on your shelf, desk etc. Good price too. My nitpicking downsides is that the power supply is fairly large, about half the size of the amp itself so it might not save you that much space depending where you want to put it. Also, if you want to use the full power of the amp you need a better power supply which I'm not sure where you would purchase one from. A quick look at Fosi's site found that they do not sell it but the power supply included should suit most people. The on/off switch is retro which is cool but it looks fragile and if it breaks then you're stuck unless it breaks on the on position. I do like the simplicity of it. No built in radio, remote control or bluetooth which is fine by me. No headphone socket but that's okay too as I have one on my sound mixer. Overall, I really like this amp and hope it lasts a long while!
5.0 out of 5 stars great product nice price
I saw a review for the revamped version and thought you know what, the price seems reasonable to give myself a go at the class D type amps. I am not quite sure what I was expecting, I was hoping for a decent sound at a good enough volume for my small room and to work with some old Cambridge Audio S30 speakers I have lying around. So, I have a Fiio K5 pro connected as a preamp/DAC, an old laptop as the source, and the afore mentioned speakers.I am not sure quite what I was expecting but it wasn't this, it sounds great, not going to get too techy about these things but can I hear everything? yes, is it loud enough for my small (11'x10') room? my goodness yes, though of course there has to be some consideration for the neighbours.A very decent full sound from this setup especially for the price, and I put the audio from the TV through it via the optical and that's really decent too.No Sub of course, but in this small room the sub can be overwhelming not just for me but very definitely for the neighbours below. The bottom line is for the price, it sounds great and is tiny and out of the way, built-in power might be nice but really not the end of the world and it takes a little time to get used to the fact that the bass and treble controls are the "wrong" way around.I would totally recommend it if you want to breathe new life into things you have lying around or even if you want to create a small but powerful system from scratch, a pair of decent speakers and you are away. If there is better than this for the price then get it, because blimey this is good.
4.0 out of 5 stars Small but mighty.
This product helped me get back into hi fi after a 20 year break, good clean clear sound. Perhaps a touch too bright, especially when pushed, but what do you expect for the money. I've since moved on to a class ab amp, for significantly more money which sounds more sophisticated but you pay for it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beggars belief...
This little box of miracles beggars belief, but before I go into details, let me first explain my set-up as I'm sure many of you may be planning something similar. I'm using a Samsung smart TV as an entertainment hub (there's Blu-Ray input, Freeview, Netflix, Rakuten, and Spotify or Deezer, and both Bluetooth and USB music interfaces, plus countless radio stations). Naturally I wanted to use the TV's ARC HDMI output so as to have volume control from the TV remote. To these ends I connected a LiNKFOR HDMI DAC to my TV's HDMI ARC port, which talks to the FOSI Amplifier through RCA cables. My speakers are a pair of Monitor Mk2 Audio Bronze two way units, tethered on fat copper cables. This little amplifier, with the DAC, cost over six times less than my prior Marantz streaming amplifier (and that only lasted as long as its meagre warranty). In my own acoustic environment I have the treble at 10 o'clock and the bass at 2 o'clock. The rich, clean, and accurate, sound quality deceives you into thinking you must have shelled out a lot more money that you did. A very great deal more. In fact I can hear fine detail that my Marantz NR1200 receiver could not ever render through the same speakers. Distortion is imperceptible at any satisfying volume level, and I have had it at levels which made the wife's hair stand on end. With the standard FOSI power brick easily obtain 75w RMS per channel, with scope for more. This is already far more than needed for my listening area. My FOSI volume control stays at 12 o'clock, and there's absolutely no reason to crank it any further clockwise.I'm very impressed with the performance, and in terms for value for money - gobsmacked. Nine months "after taking the red pill" I ordered a slightly more complex TPA3255 chipset based Class D Amplifier with Bluetooth, plus a DAC, for my digital-self - as well as a preamp so that I can cater for my retro-self (and enjoy my headphones and play vinyl as well).A week later I went back to the purity of this TB10D, and substituted the Fosi PSU brick for a cleaner PSU which is made by "Mean Well" and marketed by RS Components. The DRP-480S-48 makes the TB10D even more of a performer (and I'm not just talking of volume here!) since it outputs a very clean maximum of ten amps at 48v, and could power far bigger speakers than my Audio Bronze cabinets.PS/... My attention has been drawn to one of 'those' so called 'influencers' that publishes YouTube reviews "for a living", because there is a lousy review of the Fosi TB10D by cheapaudioman. He rants needlessly for almost half an hour about white noise and hiss, electrical arcing, and a few other subjective problems (as he sees them) with the amplifier. My suspicion is that he simply has an axe to grind with Fosi products, and his review only covers a prototype he obtained, which is hardly relevent (a bit like him...)
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect form and quality
I'm surprised with the quality and clarity of the sound produced by this unit. Not being an audiophile I still can distinguish a good sound. I recently upgraded my speakers but listening to the tracks I already know very well feels like I hear them being remastered. I can hear things I didn't before.Hard to describe hearing experience in writing. To sum up, I'm very happy with the amplifier. Initially I was going to build its board into my own design as a power stage. I think I'll find something else for that (or maybe even a second unit) and keep this one as is - cos I like it so much.
Excelente compra!

Great value
I bought this after listening to the review by Randy of the CheapAudioMan Youtube channel. He spoke highly of this amp, and I found his conclusions to be accurate.I bought this to use in my garage. I wanted a simple amp that didn't take up much space. In my garage, it's gonna get dusty...and it's going to have to compete with power tools, air filter, etc. That's not the place for mult-thousand dollar amps!!About the rated power...you have to be realistic. I know this amp says it's 600W, but it's not. Not in any practical sense, anyway. And none of the other cheap class D amps are going to be, either. The difference is that more expensive amps stay clean at or near their rated power. These cheap amps don't. They start to introduce distortion well before they get to their max power...That's not to say it's not a stout little amp...it is! But you can't compare this to a $2K+ amplifier with a rated output of a couple hundred wats, and think they're going to be equivalent! To put it in terms most folks can relate to, I'd say this amp will drive speakers to about the same level as a typical mid-level class AB receiver in the 50-70 watts per channel range. Beyond those levels, you start getting distortion that you can hear, and that can damage speakers. But that's shouldn't really discourage you...with moderately sensitive speakers, 50-70 watts is pretty darn loud!In my case, I used this amp to drive a pair of Klipsch KG2.2 speakers that I bought a while back on Ebay. KG 2.2 speakers have a sensitivity of 93db. That's a little bit higher than average, and this amp drives those speakers to very high volumes! If your speakers are less sensitive, the volume will be lower, which is the case no matter what amplifier you're using! If you're using this amp in a bedroom or small office, it's probably gonna be loud enough with any speakers you have. But if you're driving 87db speakers in an 800 square foot room, it's probably not going to get very loud. If you like to shake the walls and anger your neighbors, keep that in mind. One of the categories mentioned above is volume control, so I'll mention it. On this amp are three controls...volume, bass and treble. They all work great. Smooth controls, no static, and the tone controls add just the right amount of cut or boost to the bass and treble respectively. In my case, I set the tone controls the way I wanted them, and I put the volume control to about 75-80%, and I just leave the amp on 24/7. In normal use, I connect to the WIIM mini streamer using the app on my phone, and I control the volume that way. This works great, and gives me remote control over the volume. For the price, this thing is a steal! In fact, I'm going to buy another one, which I plan to use to power the outdoor speakers on my patio. Currently they're being driven by a very cheap JVC receiver left behind by the previous owners of my home, and I am confident this amp will do a better job than the JVC is currently doing!
