Warning:
1. It is important to keep the tip of the soldering iron clean while using it.
2. DO NOT lay a soldering iron down on any surface. A soldering iron should either be placed on a stand or sealed with a heat resistant cap after every use.
3. The tip of a soldering iron is very hot. Be sure to wear safety glasses, keep loose clothing and hair out of the way, and be careful with your fingers.
4.When welding, do not use too much pressure, and have a rest at every 10 minutes. Otherwise the iron tip will be damaged. As long as the iron tip fully contact the solder joint, heat can be transferred.

I hope this soldering iron/pen lasts as the heat at max 450` is amazing for such a small iron, and quick to come up to temperature. A good selection of tips as well. So far so good , probably buy another incase it fails in a week ? Very pleased.

This product is ok for a cheap soldering iron, it works well, heats up quickly and has adjustable temperature. My main criticism is the the temperature control wheel gets moved very easily, and I've occasionally altered the tip temperature unintentionally while doing a job. It comes with a selection of tips.

It heats up fast enough but not tested whether the temperature control is accurate, nor its durability yet hence no comment on those aspects. Though the power cable is too thick & heavy hence non-flexible , but the iron is too light - it is so hard to rest the iron on any surface or the stand (very light too) causing it falling over easily. Beware.

Easily allows me to put water holes in containers for my allotment/garden instead of drilling.I tend to do this outside as the smell is awful from melting plastic (no fault of the soldering kit). The stand is a bit flimsy but the attachments included are varied and although I have only used one so far I can see myself using the others in the future.
