4.0 out of 5 stars Sound system for a celebrant
Everything is fine apart from the lapel mic which doesn’t pick up my voice at all. The hand held is great and the head mic is fine but the one I wanted most doesn’t work sadly
3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
Purchased for a community live event announcer role, my expectations were not high - it's a low-cost kit after all. Actually, the receiver and belt-pack transmitter seem very good, although I haven't had a chance to test resilience to RF interference yet. The microphones - hand held, lavalier and headset - are where the low cost of this kit really shows. The hand held sounds pretty poor (you wouldn't want to use it for vocals) and suffers badly from handling noise. The headset is not adjustable and is a loose fit on my average-sized head, and seems almost impossible to position for best sound without picking up a lot of wind noise from nostrils. The sound itself is 'cramped' and 'gritty', and the same applies to the lavalier. Unsurprisingly the brief 'manual' provides no specs at all for the mics.I may be being a little unfair since I'm looking that this kit from a professional's perspective. The kit will do the job for the event I bought it for but if I used it in the future I would have to purchase better headset and lavalier mics - the transmitter uses a standard mini-XLR connector. The hand held mic will never get used. All that said, this is a good value product; a decent headset mic alone costs more than this kit. One last thing - the hard case is a welcome addition but only has proper cut-outs provided for the receiver, PSU, belt pack and hand held mic. You have to sort of scatter the lavalier, headset, aerials, mic collar and mic windshield over the top of everything else and shove the lid down if you want to store it all together.Oh and one more thing. It's a real shame there is no indicator on the top of the belt pack to show mute/unmute status. As it is, you have to take the belt pack off to check whether mic is muted or not, which is pretty inconvenient.
4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sound and value for money.
Very pleased with my new microphone, sound and quality Is definitely 10/10. Always bought cheaper ones in the past but pleased I splashed out a bit more money for this one, unfortunately the wire is coming away from the main plug,I only use it twice a week and have had it for 4 months. I will now need to buy a new mains lead from somewhere otherwise I won't be able to use it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
This product is fantastic super high quality great build and durable for gigs and getting bashed about a bit , I would definitely recommend this product to bands , DJs and other events …… can’t fault it works perfectly
Muy buen micrófono.
Me encantó su sonido, es de buen peso, también el micrófono de diadema suena bien, lo único que pediría es que incluyera un clip para pedestal que le quede, ya que no entra en los convencionales.
Great Build Quality, and Extraordinary Value for your money!
I am a Mobile DJ who has been deejaying many events a year since 1999. I have owned Wireless microphones from Audio Technica, SHURE, NADY, Voco Pro, GTD, and now Phenyx Pro. I saw this system on sale here on Bolo for $98.39 after a 20% discount, and the specs seemed like exactly what I want for my microphone needs. I have a 7 year old Shure BLX Combo system where the lavalier mix transmitter box has been malfunctioning so I wanted a combo handheld/lavalier wireless set up. I decided to give this Phenyx Pro 52B system a try, and I AM IMPRESSED! The build quality surpasses what I expected for a system in the $100 price range. The sound is good out of both the hand held, and the lavalier box. These microphones are not as sensitive as SHURE microphones are so they do need to be closer to the speaker's mouth, but the sensitivity is not bad at all. I am really impressed with the range! I did a distance test outside at a park in 32 degree windy weather today. I was able to walk over 400 feet away from my table/speaker/receiver box with the hand held, and it still had a clear wireless signal! With the lavalier box, I was able to walk about 250 feet from the receiver box before I started getting signal drop outs! I compared this system to my Shure BLX system that cost $599.99 when I purchased it. This Phenyx Pro system out performed the Shure BLX system in signal distance! I couldn't believe it! The Shure hand held pushed 300 feet, but the SHURE lavalier box get's cut outs, and signal drops starting at 50 feet, and by the time I got to 100 feet away, the SHURE lavalier mic had no signal whatsoever. Granted, my Shure BLX system is over 5 years old, and used a lot, but this new Phenyx System really surprises me! It even came with a carry case, wind screen, and am attachment to keep the handheld stable and not roll around on the table when you put it down on a table! I am truly impressed with this sytem, and for $98.39 it's a BARGAIN! Just buy this system, you will be very happy that you did!
Perfetto
