    I've used it for steaming rice and draining pasta for several weeks now. It was abvious when ordering, that to steam rice it would need a mesh disc (pack ordered at same time).Cheap, so it would be unreasonable to complain about the quality - the holes have sharpish edges, the solid handles get very hot, and there's one tiny spot of rust on the polished inside. Very thin stainless steel: good because it gets hot very quickly.Fits my 160mm saucepan whose lid fits the steamer and a '16cm' mesh pad fits inside the steamer well enough. I was originally looking for a steamer with a wire-mesh base, but on reflection even if such a thing existed it would be a horror to clean. This steamer cleans easily (as does the mesh pad).Does the job what more could you want?
