I have a cast iron pan but I am finding its weight tricky for me to lift these days so it goes unused.So I did a lot of looking because I tend to avoid non-stick pans because the last one I had over 15 years ago, the coating came off within a year of use and I dread it happening again.I read a lot of reviews and without spending a couple of hundreds of pounds this one seems to have the best reviews.It comes packages in a nice cardboard box, so could be given as a giftAs another reviewer mentions you get a proper, full sized screwdriver with this frying pan, included so that you can attach the handle via the provided scree and washer ( the screw and washer on mine were lightly screwed Into the pan so easy to find).The handle is weighted, looks very much like solid wood, tye only indicator that it wasn't on mine is where the hanging hole is, inside tye hanging hole there is a tiny moulding mark... I had, of course already washed the pan and beeswaxed the handle at that point...oops.After washing with a soft sponge and warm water with a little detergent, to remove any coating it might have that is just for packaging and storing, I am not sure if composite pan manufacturers do this, bit for cast iron wate the manufacturers do this to stop the pan rusting in storage or transit so I thought I would do the same, I lightly oiled the inside of tye pan as recommended, heated it, let it cool and then wiped off any excess oil.I tried it out today to make dosa and some lentil pancakes ( I am experimenting with non gluten recipes at the moment), cooked them as I would in my very heavy cast iron crépe pan, and it worked really well.It gets a little hotter in the centre, but otherwise good heat distribution.It was very much non stick.To clean I just wiped it out, as nothing had stuck and therefore nothing to wash off.If I was going to wash it, I would leave the pan to cool completely before putting any water in, as it is a thin pan and like other thin pans, not because of the make just because it's thin, I think it might warp if you popped it scolding hot under water, I don't know this as a fact, I don't plan on testing this theory, but I have had that happen to baking trays so thought I would mention it here , especially as it is mentioned in the product details to allow it to cool before washing.Very happy with this so far.

Delighted with this crepe pan. Very versatile and I use it for cooking many other items. Totally non stick and works on my induction hob. It is a heavy pan with a sturdy wooden handle a plus as it does not get too hot. Would recommend

In south indian cooking we eat dosas quite regularly at least twice a week. And a perfect dosa 70% depends on batter and 30% on pan that you use. This pan is super good, never had any trouble batter sticking to pan, the finish feels like granite smooth. Easy to maintain and clean. Although it is slightly pricy compared to other dosa pans but i would definitely recommend this.

I've received it yesterday, and today’s morning I've tried it first time for two pancakes. I washed it after, with a soft sponge, and I've been the most surprised to see it's coat coming off in places. Is this painted or what?I've paid so much for this, total disaster. It also gives a very bad smell while on hob.Update review : About a week or so now since I have it and barely used it, it is now sticking very badly and destroys all my pancakes. This is such a rubbish product...
3.0 out of 5 stars OK but needs to support higher temperatures
I bought this primarily for making crepes as its a good size with small rim and non stick without resorting to cast iron, however looking at the reviews showing the non stick pealing off in conjunction with its stated temperature limits in an oven demonstrates the issue. It states it’s good to 300F or about 150C but that’s not that hot. The supposed ideal temperature for cooking a crepe is 375F or about 209C, which is a lot hotter. So whilst it might manage ok if you heat it up gently and watch the max temperature, you’re immediately on dodgy ground compared to cast iron which is good to 500F or 265C. Especially if you use induction which can really challenge a pan if it’s on High power.So in summary , it’s ok as long as you treat it well, heat it up slowly, let it cool down before cleaning and watch the temperature isn’t too extreme. The non stick performs well and I didn’t get any nasty smells that some people say it has, but I think something geared towards pancakes and flatbreads etc should have a higher heat tolerance.
Great product
I really loved this Sensarte griddle/crepe pan. The food doesn't stick, never leaves burning marks. Easy to clean and very elegant and classy to look at.Before this, I tried Hexclad griddle and it was awful, I returned that product. However Sensarte pan is too good. I will buy this in future as well.
