    The media could not be loaded. Within about 10 hrs the screen began to flicker on and off and pulsing.....UPDATE: The seller sent me a new one, I can't deny that it is exactly what was needed.... a large, clear display housed in a simple and natural medium... wood.It's bright to see in darkness but doesn't illumate the room. It's not disturbing my sleep.I realise now that the flickering of the display is caused by me having and using my iPhone VERY close by, mostly when I first open it up but in a short while all seems fine again, the clock settles back down.It's keeping time ok, I like the uncluttered display. Love the overall look of the clock and that it's silent. I don't understand why my phone affects the clock display but I think it is just the illumination, everything else is ok. My husbands phone does not do this at all.Really easy to set up, didn't even need to read the instructions!I've added a picture of the clock next to a standard size coffee mug so you can assess the size.

    The wooden box is okay but the finish could be better. The display is large and easy to read when directly looking at it during the day but when at an angle you can see all the other digits. The switches are easy to use, but the display is too bright even on the sensor mode (my head is only about a foot away), so I have it turned off at night and turn the sensor on if I want to see the time, which is more of a glow, not ideal, but it works. The alarm is not too loud and starts with a few single beeps which increases with rapidity - I always turn this off, not with the snooze button, but with any other button on the back. If you use the snooze button you get blinded and it alarms again in five minutes.

    Beautiful clock.Some reviews mention a brightness problem. The ambient light sensor makes the display brighter as the room grows dimmer. Great for dimly lit rooms during the day but no good at night so unless you want early morning brightness level all night long you can turn the sensor off. It's the horizontal sliding switch in the centre at the back so easy to use. If you want to check the time during the night, press the switch on top of the clock for a few seconds of brightness.It's a great little clock, and I almost didn't buy it after checking the reviews.

    I was a little sceptical about it being battery operated but now the fact that there are no dangling cables really appeals to me. Beautifully made, high quality, easy to use item. Great value too!

    Needed something with reasonably big numbers that could be read from the end of the room and this fit the bill well. Nicely finished and smart looking. It has the option of being back lit for use in the dimly lit times (back lit comes on automatically as light dims so this is a nice feature). All in all, a good purchase.

    Stopped working after a month of use

    I loved everything about this alarm clock.However, after about a month of use it reset itself. I reset it and a few hours later it stopped displaying the time at all.New batteries did not fix the problem.
