    I made coffee and put the lid on it didnt need pushing on only placing and a slight press but I tried it over the sink with the lid closed ,THE BOILED COFFEE POURED OUT FROM UNDER THE LID ,I tried like this first because i felt it should have needed to push the lid on properly for it to seal ,THIS CUP IS SO DANGEROUS I COULD HAVE SCALDED MYSELF.DO NOT BUY.

    30 winters in Montreal. Never a fall. Then: disaster. Stockinged-feet meet parquet floor at 3 a.m. and from practically running everywhere to shuffling with a walker.And a new problem: how to get hot liquids safely back from a kitchen that's 20 meters away? Well, this mug, of course. It was the only one that wasn't a vertical "office-break"-type thingie for folks who just want to take something to the office, and it's squat and voluminous enough to take my large cups of tea.I'll be quick: it's great, but not microwaveable, so I can't heat the tea once it's made. It *kinda* sits in the hole provided in my walker tray, at least to be stable enough to reach my destination.But if you want leak security, just forget about it, because this is only about one level beyond wrapping your cup with plastic wrap . . . if you incline it more than 10° from vertical, stuff is gonna flow. Copiously.Otherwise it's great: keeps my tea hot for many minutes, is easy to hold and was the best thing available to meet the criteria of the newly handicapped.So for that—bravo!

    I like to begin my day with a cup of tea, so brewing a cup is the first thing I do each morning. The problem being that I get busy making breakfast or checking my emails and set the tea down and forget about it for a few minutes. Next thing I know I have a cold cup of tea. I wanted an insulated mug, but not a travel mug. This one is what I needed.Pros:The lid. I like how it glides to open and makes it easy to drink from it. I can easily open and close it; no difficult buttons to push or things to pull up on. It also comes apart for thorough cleaning. I can carry the mug from room to room without worrying about tea splashing over the side. I have noticed that some people complain that it isn't leak proof. No where does the company claim that it is totally leak proof. It said it helps prevent leakages which is why I can carry it from room to room. If you knock it over, it will leak, but because of its shape and size, it isn't all that easy to tip over anyway.The handle: Too many of the insulated mug handles are a piece of flat metal and not comfortable to hold and some are rather flimsy. This one is shaped nicely and is comfortable to hold.The colors and finish: I chose the blue and it is lovely. I also like how the coating feels; nice and smooth.Keeps the tea warm for a long time. I have a travel mug that keeps beverages hotter longer, but that isn't what I need for my morning tea. It does keep it hot for the first hour or two and that is what I need.Cons:There is only one thing I would recommend the company add to the mug and that is some sort of rubber or silicone on the bottom to keep it from sliding on surfaces like glass or smooth wood. The slippery bottom could make it easy to knock it off a table, but I haven't done that yet.All in all, I highly recommend this mug.

    Keeps the cats out of my drinking water and looks stylish. Feels sturdy in the hand, however the handle is made out of plastic, so beware. I thought the handle would be metal, but I guess you can't have everything.
