The saw head is adjustable so it is easy to angle it to cut award facing branches.Set up.Firstly, charge the battery which takes around 2 hours and gives around 20 minutes of cut time. Put some chain oil into the oil pump reservoir. You need this and need to check it after every use as this lubricates the chain. Failure to add oil will result in a quickly worn chain and poor cutting performance. Check the chain tension and then you are ready to go.Next adjust the saw pole to the height that’s comfortable to work with. It’s now ready to go. Spare chains are easy to fit and readily available.Safety.I always wear a hard hat when using saws and cutting upwards and thick gloves. I use many types of chain saw from these battery ones to large petrol ones and all of them can hurt you if not used correctly. Also, don’t stand under branches when cutting them!In use.This saw is quite powerful for a battery one and zips through small branches with ease. I have used it to tidy up Sycamore trees on my small holding. Being a pole saw I can reach the thin long branches from the ground which saves me lugging a ladder around etc. I am quite tall and this pole saw easily gives me a 10-foot height advantage. It will go a bit further, however at full extension it is quite heavy and unbalanced so I would not recommend it at full extension. It also flexes a lot fully out.Overall.This is a good pole saw when used correctly. It is ideal for small branch work. At full extension it is a bit unwieldly to use so I would only go to around 10ft in practice. It saves ladder use with a small saw and runs for about 20 minutes on a full charge. So far, I have been unable to get a spare battery for it which is a negative for me. It is easy to set up and use and I have done quite a few hours with it and it has performed perfectly on the cutting side.

Does what I wanted it to do but leaks chain oil when not in use or left overnight so have to drain it out each time after use.

Weight of this item is heavy also extension part is not long enough to reach higher branches.Fully extended shake’s and wobbles and jumps off branches you positioned to cut, causing it to fly outAlso you will have problems returning it back, I’ve been waiting since last month for UPS to collect and contacted customers services that are extremely unhelpful.
