5.0 out of 5 stars Great toothbrush
Googled reviews and videos for ages before my purchase. Made sure it was a decent price (these are expensive) hummed and ahhed for a while. Glad I bought it. Charges great, leaves my teeth feeling super clean, nice case to keep it in. Lots of features (which you’ve probably googled already) I tend to keep mine on intense clean as I have a bit of build up around the back of my teeth which I do believe is slowly going. I did use the app for a bit but the tracking isn’t as great as I’d like. Didn’t always know what tooth I was cleaning and therefore took longer. I set mine to 3minutes to learn to adjust down to the two mins recommended and now I get a star smile after 2mins without the app so has really helped me ensure I’m not missing bits. It’s still just a toothbrush, which I do feel cleans way better and I don’t regret my purchase but just ensure you buy it on an offer or deal.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best electric toothbrush yet
Having read reviews before purchasing, I expected to be forever charging it up, but I have found the charge lasts as long as every other electric toothbrush I ever owned ( this is my fifth). It is comfortable to hold and even though I always use the intende mode I have never had any discomfort or adverse sensation in the mouth. The little face on the brush smiling at me after two minutes of brushing never fails to put a smile on my face; silly, right? The results are superb too. The advertisement that describes the feeling as a trip to the dentist is right on the money. It is expensive and you only get one head in the box, but as long as it lasts a decent time (more than 2 years seems to be good for this type of appliance) and the heads last for up to six months (I can't remember where I read that) I is a worthwhile investment. I was having to visit the hygienist every 3 months before lockdown. That is an easily comparable cost. This toothbrush copes easily with my problem crowded teeth. I highly recommend it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but VERY good
I had to have most of my teeth capped ten years ago and therefore have a lot invested in my mouth. I also love a gadget, so the run-of-the-mill Oral B toothbrush was never going to be the right choice for me.I have only had this toothbrush a couple of weeks and am as thrilled about an oral hygiene product as I am ever going to be. I used to own a Philips Sonicare and when that passed across into the place where electronics-go-to-die-because-of-a-design-flaw-that-doesn't-manifest-for-a-couple-of-years I bought a cheap ($30) alternative that I mistakenly thought would do just as good a job.I still thought that when I got the Oral B iO9. Although the app on the phone is gimmicky, it does actually do a surprisingly good job of making sure you clean your teeth properly. The pressure warning is also a good feature, as it turns out I used not to apply enough pressure when cleaning my teeth. After a couple of weeks' use, there is a very clear and obvious difference in how my teeth look. They look clean. Added to which, with so many capped teeth in my mouth I have had gum problems for ages and whatever magic this brush delivers, either via the round rather than the slightly oblong head of the Philips Sonicare and its cheap knock-offs, the technology, the pressure sensitivity, or the modes, my gums are getting noticeably healthier and gingivitis is subsiding without me using any specific treatment for it other than this brush. It may be a little pricey for many, and the significantly cheaper Pro 2 2500 is probably the way to go for many people, but I have to say I am not regretting splashing the cash on this little beauty. I doubt I will stray away from Oral B from now on.
1.0 out of 5 stars Battery Issues
I bought the toothbrush on 30th September 2022 so I've had the toothbrush for just over 2 years and 3 months and have now encountered the battery issue that many of these new iO oral-B toothbrushes seem to have. When on the charger the battery reads 100% but when I go to use the toothbrush it dies after 10 seconds.
5.0 out of 5 stars My first electric
Went from manual brushing to this beauty. Takes a little time to get used to it but my teeth are cleaner, which is a key reason for having it.It strongly advocates a two minute brush. Broken down into 30 second segments by pausing very briefly a couple of times.Between learning to apply just the right amount of pressure and moving slowly so that the 30 second increments are half way through top and again bottom it takes time to find the correct rhythm.Easy to clean, I rinse it off after each use and so far after over a month no build up of dried toothpaste and other nasties.Battery charging base is nice. It will last me five days on a full charge brushing twice a day.Brush heads last well. Not the cheapest things but fillings aren’t cheap (I’m told) so it is the lesser of evils.I’m converted. Fantastic product. Did I need the highest model in the range, possibly not but no regrets.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great toothbrush but with design flaws
Pros :Excellent toothbrush in terms terms of cleaning performance. Great designCons: there is no way to see the battery status quickly, ending up in being run out of charge when you start brushing your teeth. Previous models had always on indicators but on io9 you can only see the status after you finish your brushing and wait a few minutes that shows it for a second or be very observant and see the ring turn red while you brush which is the same colour when you put more elressure than needed ot put in the charger which I can't do as I don't have it plugged all the time and charging the toothbrush after every usage would.kill the battery quickly. I wonder who had that idea and who approved it. Terrible let down.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tooth brush
Excellent tooth brush far better than sonic care I used to use leave my teeth feel soo clean and the app is good as well
5.0 out of 5 stars Not cheap but great.
One of my best investment. I’ve got this product on a 50% discount. I’ve been hesitating for a few weeks then i decided to give it a try and I am very happy with it. Top quality. I never missed a spot since I use this toothbrush. Very easy to connect it to your smartphone and track all your activities. Two users can use it but only at one at the time and the other has to disconnect feom the smartphone.I am happy with it and highly recommend it.
Works and fits perfectly
Product is fantastic. Great delivery service too
Disappointed in Battery Life of Oral-B iO9 Electric Toothbrush
I bought the Oral-B iO9 a little over a year ago, excited about all the features and like the guidance from the pressure sensor and the brushing modes. However, I'm quite disappointed with the battery life.It used to last a good two weeks on a single charge, but lately, I'm reaching for the charger much more often. It's unclear if this is a one-off issue with my brush or a wider problem with the model. For a toothbrush with such a premium price tag, I expected much better longevity from the battery. If you're considering the iO9, be aware that you might need to factor in replacement costs on top of the initial purchase price. I'm still on the fence about recommending this brush because of the battery issue.
The battery lasts one year then it’s useless
For this price you expect the product to last longer!
