5.0 out of 5 stars Very Satisfied
I'm super satisfied with this, specially at a bargain. However I feel like Roccat have gone back a step with their build. It feels more flimsy than their older beefier types from 8+ years ago.And I ditched Razer, Logitech, and many other brands over all these years because their product just falls apart after barely a year. The glue that holds some rubber just melts off during summer, the spring of the mouse just snaps and looks weak, the cable would rip off at the joints and many other flaws. The build was just... "Cheap".But Roccat had delivered such an amazing product that I am actually typing this up with their older models (I'm using the Roccat Isku, Tyon, but I had a Roccat Kave XTD which accidentally broke by my clumsiness).Their products last for YEARS, likely over a decade.I chose Roccat because they delivered quality products. It might be a high price for anything ($100+), but i'd be willing to pay for durability and good performance. If I'm paying $100 and it breaks or severely downgrades in performance every year or so, that would be the last time i'd spend any money on them, they won't get a penny. If it costs an extra $20+ to use lightweight metal to firmly make sure some joint or hinge doesn't break, i'd pay for that.I trust that Roccat delivers this standard.A good quality, a good build, for the right price...And you'll have the customer's loyalty for a lifetime.
2.0 out of 5 stars Poor headset, poor software, poor quality. get the Elo
I came from a set of Roccat Kave XTD 5.1s which were absolutely incredible headset. I used for 5 years and decided, as they started to crumble, it was time to replace.Naturally, being a Roccat fan I went straight for there most premium headset.. what a mistake that was, the whole headset as a unit feels cheap and plastic, the microphone is appalling and not easy to adjust. The earcups feel to small and tight, the headband feels heavy on your head, but worst of all is the software.I use roccat swarm (which is far from perfect) on all other devices I own, but Roccat neon (must use with this headset) makes swarm look perfect. It's slow, incomprehensible, ugly and doesn't communicate with swarm (mouse and keyboard software) I spent a good hour on Neon trying to improve the sound quality and mic quality of the Syn Air Pro, but no luck... And after this, it went straight back into its box, I couldn't even bare to try play a game with it, it was that bad.As a massive roccat fan I am very disappointed that this is there flagship headset, especially considering how good that Kave was. I instead purchased the Elo 7.1 air and this is a completely different headset, it's comfortable, lightweight, nicer design, feels more premium, better software (swarm) easier set up, better sound quality but this Elo still suffers from a below average mic, but it crushes the Syn Pro Air on absolutely everything else! Even battery life!Do yourself a favour, avoid this headset.. if you want a very good headset, look at Razer or Steel series, if (like me) it has to be Roccat, get the Elo 7.1 Air. They are SOO much better than the Syn Pro AND cheaper.
3.0 out of 5 stars Great sound, but the design and fit…
I picked up a Roccat Keyboard and Mouse with my latest PC build and loved them so I though I’d try a headset and have my peripherals all under one roof so to speak. That’s where the first hurdle appeared. The Syn doesn’t load up under Swarm like my Kb Mouse! It uses a new piece of software called Neon. Great. So Neon is fine and there were sufficient options to personalise sound, lights, etc, but it’s a real shame Roccat and Turtle Beach can’t get their software sorted out as it’s a pain to have to use 2. (1st world problems yeah but still it’s 2022).Sound quality and mic quality on the headset is really really good, and is strange as the headset is so lightweight, it feels like it shouldn’t be able to push out such a full powerful sound, but it does. Now the reason I sent mine back wasn’t the software, sound or build quality, everything is great, BUT, those ear pads… oh my god what the hell were they thinking!! The ear pads are firstly made out of a weird material that feels like the back of a carpet, and it’s filled with pretty stiff memory foam. So after you pop this lovely lightweight headset on your ears, your met with some of the worst comfort I’ve felt on a headset. Aaaaaaand… they’re not removable! *facepalm*How Roccat and Turtle Beach can come together and still mess this up so badly is beyond me. Real shame, maybe (hopefully) they’ll make a V2.
1.0 out of 5 stars mic has broken on 2 different headsets
ive had 2 of these headsets now in not even a year and both headsets have ended up with the same problem of the mic just cutting out on not working after about 4-5 months of use awful headset and the software is awful as wellim an avid roccat fan who has the matching keyboard and mouse but this is just awful the recieving end for me is fine but the mic is just not picking up any sound and it just crackles with static if i so much as touch it wouldnt reccomend
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for gaming
Bought for my son who loves the comfort of these memory foam headphones. Excellent audio and microphone quality. Fairly high price point but was guided by independent reviews and this set met all expectations.
3.0 out of 5 stars Worked OK for 9 months.
When this arrived it smelt horribly of chemicals, which took a couple of days to dissipate. Since then I have used this solidly for 9 months which is around 800 hours for me. It has worked well, the sound quality of both mic and headset is good, however for the price it could be better. Battery life was as advertised. They were quite comfortable with no noticeable neck strain. I used them for about 3 hours per sessionThe weak point it seems is the "flip up" mic. Yesterday after pushing the mic arm up to mute, it now no longer works, being intermittent and subject to lots of noise and crackling, no longer usable.I will admit I did use the "flip up mic to mute" as a secondary PTT function, so I would advise only using that when you need it. I will be replacing them with something a bit more sturdy.
Bardzo dobre słuchawki
Nie jestem audiofilem. Kupiłem je dziecku do komputera. Działają rewelacyjnie. Trzeba zainstalować oprogramowanie, żeby włączać i wyłączać różne ustawienia. Dźwięk jest bardzo dobry. W okularach też jest wygodnie.Może mogłyby być ciut większe. Ale za tą cenę jakość jest super.
Casque ROCCAT Syn Pro Air
