5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional service
Cameras are amazing quality. I have 2 now and will be buying more from this company in future. Motion detection is spot on, clear picture, easy to use
5.0 out of 5 stars Great security or baby/pet monitor
I have two of these and use them as child monitors. I also have the same brand EZVIZ outside cctv and live that I can view all on one app. They are really easy to set up, using WiFi and plug to the mains and work reasonably well.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality camera but the mic doesn’t work
Bought this as we just got a new puppy and we want to keep an eye when we go to the gym. The camera is easy to set up and add other people to the app so they can also watch. It turns and moves good, does screenshots and records video. You can pay to have the camera store video too. The quality is good, especially the night vision it’s really clear and you can hear and see everything. The app is easy to use and access. However, we have found the microphone doesn’t connect when we are out of the house. It works fine if we are in the house and on the same WiFi but outside of the house it just constantly tries to call the camera but doesn’t connect. Disappointing as that’s one of the reasons we have it (we can only watch in horror now if we see puppy chewing as we can’t yell through the camera!) not sure why it won’t work outside of the home. Other than that it’s a great camera for the price but yeah just be aware about the mic.
5.0 out of 5 stars Ezviz indoor security camera
Great little camera, perfect for indoor security and a great price too!
3.0 out of 5 stars Good camera with glitches and not PC friendly
What can I say, its a good, compact camera for the money and will really suit all you people who do everything on your phones, but It's has lousy support and options for PC use. This is easy to install and use, if you use via a smart phone. I actually bought this to use on my PC, (I hate smart phones!!) and double checked it offered this option, many don't. You can't actually use this the first time without using a smart phone and QR code provided, the app needs to be installed on the phone, to get it up and running and its easy to do on the phone, even for Luddites like me! Once paired to the app, you can access the camera easily and access all the options; pan & scan, night mode, sound, armed, unarmed etc. The camera does take a micro SD card, (max 256gb) directly under the lens by pushing the lens globe up, there's also a reset button here. The storage options are accessed on the phone under the history option. The camera itself is a good spec for the money and I found the resolution more that adequate for home use and night vision is excellent, I could finally see what my puss gets up to in the nocturnal hours!!Now, regarding use on a PC or Laptop, it's atrocious. I installed the software on my PC no issues, but could I get the camera to connect, (via Wi-Fi) its was practically impossible. There is no detailed instruction supplied with the camera, just a QR code for the manual on the phone. I eventually figured out that there is a tiny passkey, (I needed a magnifying glass to read this) on a label at the base of the camera with the password to pair it to the computer. There is no mention of this even in their online manual. I watched it on a random YouTube video. Once I entered this, the software on my computer found the camera. You only have the option to view the camera on the computer, this is really annoying and I would of not purchased this If I had known. There's no options, pan & scan, sound, menus etc.Another very obvious glitch with this camera on both the phone and PC is the storage and history setting. It seems very random that the SD card works and records when inserted, there is a reset button next to which seems to need pushing when using a card, although the first time I used it I didn't push this and it still worked. I have had occasions, on both the PC & phone when the card has failed to record data while in the camera. Its totally random and genuine glitch. You do have an option to format the card from a the app on the phone but not the PC.I have decided to keep the camera, despite the lack of options when used on a computer and the known glitches. The glitch with the SD card could be an issue if you intend to mount the camera or install in a out of the way position,as you'll need access to it to reset and insert/remove the card. It does come with a trial for cloud storage and options to set up an account, but anyone considering having private surveillance of their house on the cloud must be potty, its for birds!! and wouldn't even have it for free.
5.0 out of 5 stars Impressed
I have to admit, I was expecting to test this camera and then move onto the next test unit. At this price point, exceptions must be made. Now, I'll also admit that I only looked at the price and briefly glanced over the specs, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the RJ45 network port. One of the problems with WiFi cameras is the WiFi. It's convenient and flexible, but it can be a reliability nightmare. The cabled solution mitigates the issueMy main requirement is RTSP as I want to use other DVR apps and have constant monitoring employed. At first, I thought I'd made a mistake, but it turned out that I had just missed a few settings (RTSP has to be enabled per camera)So far, these cameras have proven to be more compatible than my previous, more expensive, cameras. Not only that but they also seem to be more forgiving regarding incoming connectionsThe camera quality is great. There are a few tweaks that can be made to the image but the best is backlighting compensation. It can render a blown-out scene with detailThe app isn't bad either. The previous app allowed sharing but it was limited to live view. This app also allows members to view recordingsThe last thing I'm going to mention for now is the Alexa/Google support. My previous cameras were available in the home apps but the features are super basic and essentially limited to motion alerts. This camera can also display the stream on home assistant devices with screensSo far, I'm really impressed
5.0 out of 5 stars House monitor
East to install by just follow the instructions.Gives very good images and will follow any person in the drive even in the dark. No need to subscribe as I put a SD card to record the videos.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money
Great product and very easy to set up.
Great value and performance
This was very affordable, which made me question the performance. However, EZVIZ has run our household cameras for over 6 years now without a single camera failing - and this looks to join that level of service. Great camera, solid night vision, two way voice works great. The performance is easily that of a much, much more expensive camera. Just be sure to pick up an SD card as it doesn't come with one.
Fonctionne très bien.
Facile, efficace, régulièrement mis à jour, bonne qualité d'image. Je recommande.Le son n'est pas très bon, ce n'est pas important pour moi.
