    I needed something to replace my Presonus Eris 4.5 monitors which had gone faulty.With minimal space options were limited, but these JBLs (298 x 185 x 231 mm) were compact enough to just fit.Very impressed - great sound with tight, solid bass, uncoloured response and loads of volume.They have auto power saving and will snooze without a signal, so they can be left powered on.

    The sound is great for the price. Overall sound is good and clear. But the woofer is 5 inches, so a subwoofer helps a lot to hear low frequencies.

    I'd been needing to upgrade for a long time. Most people were telling me to buy some ADAMS speakers (which actually cost LESS than these now). But a few people who make some of my favorite music use JBLs. So in my mind there was no contest. However, having had these for quite a while now i have to admit to being massively dissapointed. They don't sound any clearer to me than my old Alesis Eletave 5's (which are an almost identical size and cost about a third as much). In fact i'll go further and say that at anything less than apocalyptic volumes these actually sound worse. ''Muggy'' i think the word is..On top of that, they have the single stupidest feature of any technology (which is even dumber in speakers), which is that after a couple of minutes of inactivity they power down. Not just inactivity either. While using these at low volume, or to check more high frequency sounds, these actually power down WHILE I'M USING THEM. And as far as i can tell there is no way to change this. Seriously, how are we supposed to troubleshoot audio issues when more and more of the technology is working against us in this way?.Editing this review a couple of years after purchase, I think I have used these speakers less than a dozen times (when I make music every day), and having left it far to long for a refund (d'oh!) I am now giving my pair away. I think that says a lot..

    For most people this is not a cheep Subwoofer and u would expect it to arrive in mint condition since it supposed to be new .Sounds good dough

    Amazing subwoofer to pair with JBL 308s! Must have if you're producing with a lot of sub bass.

    I got mine for 25% off refurbished/used.I had a presonus monitor subwoofer before this and it just wasn't hitting the lows the way I wanted, rattled at low volumes even.I was actually thinking of returning it because I realized I impulsively bought this thing when I already have a sub. Once I plugged it in to at least try it, I knew I couldn't go back to the presonus.If you only have TRS cables you'll need to get an adapter for the output channels (XLR to TRW) . Input works with TRS or XLR.I have a pair of Jbl308 monitor speakers with my setup and these are the perfect pair and how it was meant to be. The crossover sounds so damn smooth after adjusting the boundary EQ accordingly. With those speakers the low pass on the subwoofer set to the lowest (80hz I believe) sounds best.The subwoofer works as a pre amp for the other monitor speakers. As soon as I swapped the presonus sub with this one immediately saw a HUGE difference with my jbl 308 monitor pair. It was much much clearer and louder. I did not even realize how much the presonus was diminishing the capabilities of the other monitor speakers in my setup.I am producing dubstep/edm and music where sub bass is very important and I need to hear the lowest lows without distortion or rattle. this thing has made it so much nicer to work on it. You can truly hear the sub bass very very clearly, allowing me to adjust the sub bass and add subtle textures/harmonics and really be able to mix/master and do sound design with ease especially with long sustainer sub basslines. Kicks sound absolutely amazing well. Before with the presonus I didn't get a real good feel for how percussion/kicks sounded... But with this you can really hear the subtle differences.I was worried it'd be too big to go under my desk but it fits better than the 8" presonus thanks to the higher placement of cable ports. No matter what you're making these are amazing speakers, but I think if you're making rnb or edm especially music with long sustained bass that needs to be sidechained with kicks, and fine tuned these are a must have. Don't go with a cheaper option, this is worth the extra money easily.

    Este sub en realidad me aloqué y lo compre, si revisando reseñas pero no creí necesitarlo... Fue por glamour de sonido.OK, me sorprendió y a todo aquel que lo escucha, inclusive el sonido de mezcla qué hago en mi estudio, toma otra profundidad por que ahora sentir esos graves en el cuerpo.De verdad que para su tamaño sorprende!!!Ojo, no esperes llenar una fiesta con el, no es para eso, no es para que tus oídos se tapen de tanta Potencia...Este tipo de equipos son de referencia, de un audio de rango completo, estos jbl reproducen sonidos muy exquisitos y se disfruta la música, hasta he visto películas y super satisfecho.Me encanta, lo recomiendo 1000%

    Ürün Bolo kolisiyle geldi ve kolide hiç bir hasar yoktu. İçinden çıkan JBL kolisi hasarlıydı, bantları açılmış bir şekildeydi ve ürün hasarlıydı. Woofer, bobine sürtüyordu, hareket edemiyordu. İade ediyorum, zaman kaybı yaşadım.

    Lo recomiendo totalmente. Suena muy muy potente con grabes profundos. Ideal para DJ y estudio. Yo lo tengo junto con los JBL 305 y suenan de lujo.

    I've seen many unboxing reviews of JBL 308p mkii in which box contains the JBL original power cable for the monitor. But in this order, the power cable is missing. Now how would I check the monitor functionality without power cable? Very bad experience here.
