So we bought two of these types of smart lamp. This one, that we paid just over £50 for, and the similar Gosund smart lamp which was around £20. At more than twice the price the Govee needs to deliver and overall I think it does. The lamp itself is better built and slightly larger than the similar looking Gosund lamp. When it comes to lighting, it blows the budget Gosund away. This Govee lamp has a tonne of preset modes and colours and is fully editable. It's very impressive and can react to your music too. The app is well built and super easy to connect your lamp and use. In comparison, our cheaper Gosund lamp just offers basic colours and shades and the app is okay, but not as friendly or well designed. Overall I think you get what you pay for. If you want a smart lamp and the Govee is in your budget. Totally go for it. You won't regret it.

The media could not be loaded. Lovely night lamp, we use it with Alexa when listening to music, playing videogames or projecting a movie and using Alexa as a speaker. Husband loves it too, specially red or fire scene, fun and easy to use.

My mum gave me a desk lamp for my bedroom so I didn't need to have the big light on. My 11yo decided to steal it so I was in desperate need of a new light!My husband said more then £30 was too much to spend on a lamp.. but IT'S SO PRETTY!I wouldn't pay the full price. £68.99 is far too much for what it is.. a light. £51 is still a bit of a stretch, but I have to admit I do love it and I'm glad I spent the money on it.Someone mentioned that the lights aren't as defined, so if you do a drawing it's blurry. Of course it is 😅. You're not going to get a defined view of whatever you've drawn because it's got plastic over the lights. If you want something defined then you'd be best off getting one specifically for that with either exposed LEDs or a pixelated type light.I've not played with all the features, but I have made a pretty pattern and I've also taken colours from a drawing my husband did and created an aurora. I love the fire option and if you choose "fire" colours it looks really 'comfy'.I saw reviews mention that it's not bright enough to read with which is what *almost* put me off purchasing. If you just use "white" then it is absolutely bright enough to read with if you're using it as a bedside lamp. Even using pastel colours and it's bright enough to read with.Using anything bright like a bright pink or a red, or using darker colours like navy, burgundy etc and you can't read with it as it's obviously too dark, and using red makes your room look like a dark room for photographs 😂If you're using it to read with then it's not something you could put far away from wherever you're reading even though it is bright. It would be best off on a bedside table. If you're not using it for reading then you could put it anywhere and it lights up all of a large bedroom (or wherever you're putting it) in lots of pretty colours.You can have it with a moving pattern or static.It isn't hard to set up (took me 2 minutes) and the app isn't hard to navigate (like I saw someone else mention), but you do need to have a play with it to see all of the features it offers as there's a lot.You can also cycle through presets or you can create your own.I'm diagnosed ADHD and it's definitely a dopamine inducing light 😂Honestly I really love it and I'm glad my 11yo stole my lamp 😂.It is sliiiightly pricy for me at the sale price, so I'd definitely not buy it at full price (wait for a sale if you want to purchase), but for how happy it's made me I don't care! 😂. Plus as I mentioned above.. there are a lot of features! And you can even take colours from photos/drawings etc for the light colours. It's really good 🥰

Great lamp overall, some very nice effects and gradients you can use with the app (my favourite is the sunset gradient), which also features a DIY mode (which I haven't used much as whatever I create doesn't look good), and a music reaction mode.The price is the main complaint for me, I got it on sale but still paying £50 doesn't feel great but I feel like it is a great lamp with a tonne of features.I control the lamp almost always with the Google Home ecosystem, but I do go on the app whenever I want to change the effect of the lamp. That being said, you can easily control the brightness and off/on functionality on the top of the lamp itself, along with a button to cycle through some preset effects.Pairing to the app was quick and simple, and all the Govee smart products are compatible with Bolo's Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT.The diffusion of the LEDs inside the lamp is great and not at all strenuous to your eyes. The lamp is also quite bright, when just on white light, even on the lowest brightness setting it could light up a whole room easily. I kinda wish it could get a little bit dimmer - you can also go into the app and change the colour to a dimmer colour and also go into the DIY mode and turn off a few of the LEDs to make it dimmer overall.In conclusion, it's a great looking lamp with some solid features with smart home integration and many static or moving effects to choose from on the easy to pair/use app. If you aren't going to use most of the features of the product, maybe look for something cheaper as even on sale, £50 is quite a lot of money for a lamp, but if you are willing to, you probably won't regret it. I showed my lamp to my friend and he instantly went and ordered one because it looks so good in person.

About her excellent product from Govee. There light systems are second to none and whilst more expensive then some are well worth paying a bit extra for. If it has Govee on the box you know it’s quality.The array of colours and scenes are extensive and remarkable . I love the rubik cube scene.

The media could not be loaded. I kept coming back to this lamp and eventually took the plunge and brought it. I am in love, such a pretty lamp. Zero buyers regret, it looks so good. Even connects to Alexa.

The media could not be loaded. I love this lamp and govee products. It was easy to set up and preforms to any occasion. It offers various brightness levels and is more than enough for most rooms. It's appearance and performance can't be faulted.

Second Govee product I’ve bought. The app is not the best user experience but once you work it out it’s quite fun to create effects. Great that it works with Alexa, though the functionality isn’t completely controllable that way - some things you have to use the app for. Great for mood lighting, giving a cosy feel to a room, equally good for gradually waking you up to ‘natural’ light on dark mornings. Very pleased with it.
