    The media could not be loaded. Quick frankly I can’t believe that this musical dance mat is selling for as little as £11.25 when purchased with a promotional voucher. That makes it incredible value given all that it does. All you need to do is insert three AA batteries (not included) and the fun starts for kids and their parents alike.Our eight-month-old granddaughter, who is already attending infant music groups absolutely loved it. Not only was she transfixed by the flashing lights on the speaker but she also enjoyed the fact that different notes and sounds were produced when she touched different parts of the mat and/or crawled over it. Her mum also loved picking out nursery rhyme tunes on the keyboard for her. I’m sure as little one grows older; she will get more and more enjoyment from the mat and it will help develop her musical skills.The mat can be folded up into a small area which makes it both easy to store and to transport around.I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to entertain their children and help develop their appreciation and understanding of music. Even if a promotional voucher isn’t available, in my opinion it’s still worth buying at the full price of just under fifteen pounds.Thank you for reading this review.     This is fun enough for little ones (my niece is 4, my nephew is 1) but it is smaller than the photo suggests so I was a bit disappointed with it. I also am disappointed it requires batteries (which it doesn't come with) as nowadays everything should be rechargable. For £12 it isn't bad but I would rather spend more and get a bigger, more environmentally-friendly item.

    I have given this 5 stars because I think, for what it is intended, it is a great little product. Do I think it will last you year and years? probably not - we’re not talking a Casio keyboard for kids, it’s basically two sheets of nylon with all the wiring sandwiched between them so my guess would be, with repeated folding and unfolding for storage and, possibly, little kids being a bit rough with it, over time it may begin to suffer. But let’s face it, you’re not expecting a Steinway Grand!For what it is and what it is intended for - an introduction for little ones to the fun of making sounds (maybe leading to music!), I really like this toy.It is powered by three AA batteries (not included) which fit (and screw closed) into the back of the small plastic box that houses the speaker. The rest of the mat is made of nylon fabric that is bendable and scrunchable. There are no sharp edges or pointy bits or button sticking out to hurt yourself on. All the controls are pressure pads inside the fabric, step on one or press it with your hand and the switch reacts.There’s the lines of switches on the colourful fabric. The bottom is a piano keyboard that plays the appropriate note when you press that key (but only the white notes!)Above that are a picture of instruments. Press and instrument and it plays a little tunes in the sound of that instrument. But it also changes the sound the piano keyboard plays, so, press the xylophone picture and the white piano keys play xylophone notes, etc.The top line is control keys: on/off (I really like that when you turn it on it plays a like introductory fanfare and when you turn it off it finishes with a little closing tune), demo to play a variety of preset sounds and tunes, and play, which switches the thing to respond to the piano keyboard and play just the notes that are pressed there. Finally there’s a record and playback so you can record what the child is playing and then listen to it again. All quite sophisticated in a cute, colourful way.I’m sure this will give hours and hours of noisy/musical fun to babies and toddlers.

    The media could not be loaded. Although this does not come with batteries supplied, it is great value.I played demo to start with and straight away it made me smile as it sounds so jolly! I can well imagine my one year old granddaughter loving this once she sees it any day now.There is a variety of tunes, demo and even a recording button so for the price, I think it is brilliant!
