This is a great cheap tool for Stripping, cutting and crimping. i brought these to install some solar panels, they stripped the 6mm cable nicely, they also nicely strip 2.5mm twin and earth both the outer sheeth and the inners. The length guide is a great feature as is the tensioner screw (this allows for more effort and slower movement for thicker insulation stripping.the crimpers are great as is the wire cutter which is nice and tough, i managed to easily cut both 6mm solar panel cable and also 2.5mm twin earth without damagine the cutting blade. the rivets holding the legs together could be tighter and stronger, the legs tend to splay a little when squeezing, meaning that it turns a crimp on its side, but this is a minor flaw and for under £15 it is definately not something to grumble about!!all in all a great little addition to the tool chest!

If you buy the expensive one, it will work every time. But i bought this, and it dont like thin or thick, forever adjusting it.There is a tighting screw, but its difficult to make it move.Well thats it, nothing more i cam say

I knew these existed before but never really had the need/justification to get one. Like most people, if I needed to strip a wire, I'd do it with some pliers/nippers. I'd take off some of the wire in this process as well but that was just normal for me. This thing is great. SO easy and simple now to strip wires. I used these one 16 gauge wire and it worked great. Simple snip and everything was clean and ready to hookup.
