These are a great set, they look good together on the table, grind a bit too much even with turning level down, a bit hard & tricky too fill but are light weight, do what there supposed too, the lights on the the bottom are a good handy feature & having one hand the fact these are electric are marvellous, so all in all a good product 👍👍👍

Bought this Feb 25, 2024… and by April 12th… the grinder already started making a funny noise and stopped grinding… why !? Is anyone guess…we contacted the seller and have yet to be contacted back… poor service !! A replacement would have been the right way forward… but no reply is just very poor

After buying several reachable grinders only for them to stopping working and needing to be returned, I bought this set with low expectations. My expectations have been surpassed. The fact that they take battery’s is not an inconvenience because I use rechargeable ones anyway.They are a nice size and colour. They are of reasonable quality They grind well on all settings and are easy to adjust. They look good. I do like the light it makes it easier to see.The one negative I would give this product is the tiny gap to put salt and pepper in when filling. It can be quite tricky.

Both motors were working (albeit a little slow) but the lower vessel that holds the salt jammed solid after I'd used them only a few times spanning approximately 18 months.I had previously understood that they had a ten-year warranty but do not recall being prompted to 'register' when I made the purchase.Anyhow, having contacted Salter, I felt I was initially being given the third degree. What products were I putting in them, where did I store them, etc., before ultimately telling me I hadn't registered with them.In essence, they tapped me for feedback - back and forth - before rejecting me out of hand, despite my being helpful, providing them with precise details as well as date of purchase and order number etc.Aside from malfunction, I found the set a tad heavy with four AA batteries in each. And, on balance, they worked out at more than £1 per grind of salt - excluding the batteries - so I cannot recommend them, though it pains me to leave a 1-star review for anything.Footnote. I noticed that one of the contacts was rusty (see photo) but both were stored exactly in the same place - in a kitchen cupboard that housed only tins and dry goods, so would argue that this was flawed at the point of manufacture.

The salt grinder has fallen apart in less than a year, mainly where bits are glued together. Found that the 2 year guarantee is not applicable in the UK (from the Salter website). Never thought to register a guarantee for Salt and Pepper grinders. They don't grind particularly well (even when you change the setting). Requires a lot of batteries, which don't last long. Looking for a manual set now!

Very pleased with this set. The light is very useful for ensuring the right amount of salt/pepper is dispensed. They also hold a good quantity so they don't have to be refilled too often.

Bei mir stehen die Mühlen auf dem Esszimmertisch, wo Sie sich durch das moderne Design nicht verstecken brauchen.Inbetriebnahme ★★★☆☆ 3/5Vor der erstmaligen Verwendung müssen die passenden Batterien in die Mühlen eingelegt werden.Der Verschlussmechanismus, um an das Batteriefach zu gelungen, ist hierbei gut gelungen und die Bedienung so weit selbsterklärend.Leider sind die passenden Batterien nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten und es werden so einige benötigt. Pro Mühle müssen 6 AAA, also insgesamt 12 dieser, eingesetzt werden, was durchaus eine ordentliche Menge ist, welche man nicht unbedingt auf Vorrat hat. Hier hätte ich es besser gefunden, man hätte nur 3 AA also die nächstgrößere Kategorie verwendet oder gleich die passenden mit in den Lieferumfang gelegt.Nach der Installation der Batterien und dem Befüllen mit Salz oder Pfeffer kann die Mühle wieder zusammengeschraubt und anschließend verwendet werden, was ohne weitere Probleme funktionierte.Funktionalität ★★★★★ 5/5Das Mahlwerk lässt sich von Grob nach Fein einstellen, hierzu wird ein Drehmechanismus am unteren Ende er Mühle bedient. Dies funktioniert tadellos und noch dazu stufenlos. Somit kann jeder die für ihn perfekte Mahlgöße einstellen.Auch in Sachen Leistung ist das Mahlwerk absolut ausreichend dimensioniert, egal ob beim Nachwürzen am Tisch oder einer etwas längeren Mahl runde in der Küche beim Kochen, hat es in meinem Test jeder Belastung standgehalten.Zusammenfassung👍Modernes, hochwertiges Design, einwandfreie Verarbeitungsqualität👍 Mahlwerk kann präzise eingestellt werden.👎 Es werden viele Batterien (12) für beide Mühlen benötigt, welche nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten sind.

My best advice is to easily open them to put oin batteriees but you do have to put the battery section back in correctly before you try to put the cover back on. It took me a few times of use to always remember to take the cap off the b ottom before using to grind. Some pepper corns do not fit and be careful with your choice of salt.
