5.0 out of 5 stars Good product but…
The blue light on top could possibly be the solution to the planets energy issues. If there was only a way to harness its light 🤔Otherwise sleek, lightweight, sturdy, compact and seems to charge at a good speed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tonnes of USB-C and solidly built
Now we are at a point where USB-C is more readily adopted and implemented from phones, tablets, laptops and other devices, it makes sense to have a USB-C only multiport charger. The Satechi model is unlike any other Anker or Aukey charger I've had. It is built like a tank, the GaN technology makes it super dense and heavy, but this is capable of charging my entire fleet of devices when travelling - 16" MacBook Pro, iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods.In-line with other reviewers, my only improvement would to have a slightly dimmer or smaller blue indicator light as it does light up a bedside table (bad if you are super light sensitive while sleeping) if used in that way.
4.0 out of 5 stars Solid if you need a 200W USB-C only brick
This supports every protocol you can think of, and it does so without issue. It can charge my XPS 13 at its max speed and does so without issue. This also supports Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0 and I have confirmed this, also without issue. Basically, anything you can throw at it.Lightning cables do have a tendency of always being on, unlike USB-C which turn off if not being used. This means that if you have a Lightning cable plugged in but not being used, it is always on and therefore sometimes you'll get the slow charging thing on a Windows laptop. I have gotten that many times on my XPS 13. Unplugging the Lightning cable solves this though. Just average dumb decisions by Apple. I think this also applies to MagSafe 3 cables too, though haven't tested. This doesn't apply to Apple USB-C to C cables though.Apart from that, it's a banger. Expensive sure, but a banger. If you can pick it up for a decent price, then you can't go wrong.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great multi USB-C high power high speed charger for MacBook Pro users.
I said for MacBook Pro users because there are only a handful of charges that supports 140W power for my M2 (or M1 and M3 Max) MacBook Pro. Apple charges you almost £100 for the charger and UGREEN 300W charger cost double the cost of this SATECHI 200W charger. My need is simple, has one port that can power my MacBook Pro, then other ports for charing my other peripherals and cameras. So 200W is more than enough. UGREEN is nice to have two ports that support 140W each, but that's excessive for my use unless I have two high power MacBook Pros in use at the same time.Another great thing about this charger is that it's not tat much bigger than Apple's own charger and much smaller and lighter, making this ideal for travelling too. Ok, it's heavier than Apple's but I can now have one that charges all my electrical devices is neat. Finally, this thing doesn't really get hot. I previously use the Belkin multi charger that supports 100W for my older Intel MacBook Pro, which still works for my new M2 MacBook Pro, but not at full power and when it's in fast charge mode, the Belkin whistles in high pitch and gets extremely hot.Overall, I can't fault this SATECHI 200W charger and would recommend if you are a high power USB-C guy or gal.
1.0 out of 5 stars Fell apart
The item feels quality but when i plugged the usb-c lead into it the front fell off. This is complete rubbish build quality,Looked like this item had been sent out previsouly as the box was ripped, poor service from Bolo qulality control.
5.0 out of 5 stars Gets a little warm for a GaN? But excellent.
It is, as others have said, a rather smart looking little charger, gratefully smaller than expected. About the size of a boxed bar of soap.I'm fast charging 4xOcoopa 10000mh 18w Hand Warmers at full PD3 and each port delivers full PD output at the same time. Perfect for what I need.It is plastic but solid. Cables all click in solidly. It has a sweet little stand/cradle it can sit in.I also have a 2 port usb 65w GaN charger which doesn't heat up at all in use....... whereas this little beauty gets very warm from the outset.Update: Been using this constantly for a year, still charging hand warmers, and also (separately) 4 x 33000ma Power Banks at the same time....all PD3.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid
Feels good and solid. Well made.
2.0 out of 5 stars Failed after 6 months
So this was great until it wasn't!Working well for about 6 months, and then failed for no discernable reason. In the process of returning.Bit of a shame as these seem to get recommended heavily.
Excellent
Great product, used it in europe for a month with no issues
Ideal for power-hungry devices
This charger is priced at $170 at the time of review. It may seem expensive, but worth considering if you need many USB-C ports along with a device that require a large power while travelling. It can provide power at 28V when used with PD3.1 compatible devices. This product supports only USB-PD (QC is not supported), but the quality of the output was excellent. The maximum output when using a single port was 3A for 5V-15V, and 5A for 20V and 28V. It does not support variable voltage output by PD-PPS. The output voltage error was less than 1% for any voltage from 5V to 28V. Overcurrent protection worked at 120% of the rated current, and stopped the transmission of high voltage. The switching noise of the power supply was very low. The noise around 130kHz was observed at Vpp 10-20mV for 5-15V, and for 20V and 28V, it was at most around 60mV. Radio interference to nearby devices seems be minimal.Even when multiple devices are connected to ports, one port can output a maximum of 65-100W. So, it is ideal for supplying power to a laptop and its peripherals with one adapter. Out of the four ports of this product, two can supply a maximum of 140W, and the other ports are 45W. While supplying high voltage from one of the ports, if another device is connected to the other port of the same power rating, the power supply to both ports is temporarily stopped and the supply voltage negotiation is restarted. If you are connecting a device that cannot tolerate a short power outage, it can be problematic. When continuously outputting 145W, the exterior of this product became slightly warm (around 45 degrees Celsius).Although it is a relatively small charger, it weighs 350g. This product has obtained UL/cUL certification and can be safely connected to household power in North America.
De très bonne qualité
Produit de très bonne qualité. Idéal pour les voyages. Je l’ai emmené avec moi en Ecosse c’était parfait
Convenience
I really loved how convenient this 4 port gan charger is as it allows me to leave all the power bricks at home and only bring the cables required to charge all my devices on the go!
Excellent product
I travel overseas for business; this little device is small enough to carry on my laptop backpack, it is extremely easy to use, very reliable. It has making traveling thru the countries that use unique power adapters very convenient.
