    Ordered this storage jar to store biscuits and it is stylish enough to leave out on the worktop. Has a good seal so should keep everything fresh.

    This is a substantial container for your biscuits. Looks attractive but is also sturdy and well made. I haven't had it long enough to say how long the biscuits stay in tip top condition but the seal seems strong . They would look spectacular lined up on a kitchen counter top as storage jars !

    The two jars arrived well packaged and intact. The 5.8l are really large so be warned! I use them to store flour. There is 3kg of white flour in one and 1.5kg of wholemeal in the other - to give you an idea of how much the jars will hold. I do find that the lid of one tends to pop up, so I have to turn it round for a while to make it stay down and then it holds tight.

    Well you know when you do grocery shopping and you buy something it comes either very small or very large than what you’re expecting. I knew these were 5.8 L. I wanted large ones but I was surprised when I saw the size a nice surprise because I really wanted them very big But I didn’t visualise them as large as this. As in the other reviews Glass is strong and they are well-made. Came quickly and was well packed. I’m really pleased with them. The only thing is I’ve now got to buy biscuits to fill them up and will be very tempted, looking at all the lovely biscuits in the jar. Just would like to know if I could get a spare seal. I will email the seller.

    I bought these jars to help tidy up in my kitchen. They are very big and quite heavy but great because you can see all the contents inside so nothing is forgotten at the bottom of the jar.My only problem is that I struggle to close them as the have a large ring plastic stopper attached to the inside of the lid (I did not realise this was attached when I bought them).I have arthritis in my hands and find it impossible to release the lids so have to ask my husband to do so for me. Also if the lid is simply pressed down to close the vacuum created inside the jar causes the lid to pop up again! The secret is press down then twist and sadly for me that is too much for my arthritic hands.So if you do not have arthritic hands these are great jars, otherwise like me you could struggle to use them.
