    I got this set to play with my two sons, one who is 7 and the other, 10. They have just started to enjoy this game and the tactics behind the moves.This set is a very cheap set and feels it. Each piece is very light plastic, with a hollow core. Having said this, you can’t bend them so the plastic is hard.The board is adequate and folds down in the middle. It could be improved by having felt based pieces, but then you’d expect to pay a bit more.Overall, good for the price if you don’t mind a cheap set.Hope this review helped you, thanks for reading it!

    This chess game is nicely presented in a brightly coloured box. Inside the game board is lettered and numbered and the white/black squares are distinct and nicely spaced. The back of the board is covered in mock dark red leather.The chest pieces, again the normal black and white, are nicely defined and inside there is also an information sheet containing the rules of the game.This is a great chess set for beginners and to take away on your travels. It would also make an excellent present/gift for the budding chess player.

    Chess game arrived well packed and on time.I ordered this chess game mainly for my daughter as she will start attending a chess club. It’s a good quality chess set for beginners, the chess pieces are big enough to play a decent game. It’s good great for children learning chess. The whole game is lightweight but it feels sturdy enough. At the time of this review it was listed at £8.49 and I find this quite reasonable when comparing to other chess games. It would also make a lovely gift.

    When I was younger I always liked to play chess and I hardly remember when it was the last time, with this game I can go back a few years, if only for a moment, it is a product that satisfies me, good quality for the money, so I can recommend it to anyone who he likes playing chess. Really lightweight game can be take with you anywhere you want.Highly recommend!

    This set has hollow plastic playing pieces and a cardboard playing board. Not as described and in my opinion not worth the price paid.
