    As a born again diet controlled (?!) diabetic t2 I'd forgotten to test regularly having reverted to pre-diabetic status but felt dizzy and sleepy, increasingly so after my mother's death on May 1st, so rooted out my old self test kit. Most of the kit was past its useby date but I used it anyway and found my reading was high. And remained high , then borderline, then just vaguely iffy while I got my diet on track, binned the self medding wine, and changed my ways. I also updated the kit with this model from the same supplier and it's more user friendly and obviously all the test and monitoring elements are well within use-by dates too. But it still feels familiar and easy to use. And a reasonable price for peace of mind too or an early shout for further help too.
