I liked the setup process as it was mostly achieved by logging into Google and pairing my Android phone. The screen image is sharp and the illuminated keyboard is very nice to use. Not done much practical work wih it but with the speed and mamory capabilities I'm sure it will be fine.

I liked that it was easy to set up, the colour and finish, which is really smooth. If you are not used to a chromebook, like me, you will need to spend a bit of time finding your way around but doesn't take long and it was easy to get all my devices to sync up which is useful.

UPDATE: Yes, this is a very good chromebook ... but after using it a little longer I have changed from 5 to 4 stars. Why? I mentioned the CB gets very hot ... but I bought a cooling pad that works very well. Good as it is .... it is very inconvenient to use with my CB on my lap (which I prefer). None of my other CBs (either high end or cheap) overheated. I have reduced the number of tabs I have open, and this has helped a little - but I am used to having multiple tabs open normally - without any problems.Several other things have annoyed me. I cannot login using my PIN, and the Dark Mode I prefer to use has changed the top bars etc. to a dirty brown colour. I have contacted Google, but (as usual) they were unable to help. I believe this is probably a flaw with Google Plus ... but it cannot seem to be rectified. A small problem ... but quite annoying.Another thing is the battery life. I thought it was good to begin with .... but now I only manage about 6 hours or less before it needs charging. Charging is quick though.No CB is perfect .... and for the price this is still a very good machine.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I love chromebooks ... and have had quite a few over the years. The last one I had (a Samsung) reached the end of its life .... but I have kept it as a backup.PROS ... Fast (well they all are at the beginning), efficient, and well built. The battery life is good and it re-charges quickly. I really like the keyboard for typing and it is backlit which is a bonus. Smooth touch pad. Good screen quality and the sound is better than my Samsung.It was very reasonably priced. I have learned that you don't need to spend a fortune - since they all wear out in about 4-5 years anyway - however much you have spent.... but do check the end-time date before you buy.CONS ... a depressing dark grey colour / quite heavy (metal) / gets quite hot (but I really push it to the limit) ... so I have just ordered a cooling pad as I like to use mine on my lap.OVERALL, a nice little chromebook. I don't think you will find anything better at this price ... so I can certainly recommend it.

For the price this is a really good piece of kit. It's extremely quick and for the money you pay you will struggle to find anything better. I got around the low SSD by using an external SSD I had lying about. Works great. I would have preferred it to be touchscreen, but this isn't a massive problem as I have got a mouse or I can use the trackpad.

This is an excellent little laptop at a great price. The fact it runs on ChromeOS is a problem for doing certain things. The operating system is basically a scaled up tablet so can be annoying if you want to install browser plugins, etc. you can jailbreak it but it's not recommended unless you know what you're doing.This is a great option for basic computing, or for simple tasks. Any tinkerers will love setting it free from the default ChromeOS.
