    Bought as replacement fir old alarms.New alarm base fitted securely onto old base, the alarm fitted onto ne base. Great because no unscrewing of old base and screwing new base on. Installation simple.Good value for moneyGood performanceBattery lasts 10 years.This is my first replacement of the same original product bought 10 years ago and no performance issues with them.Good size.Good noise

    There are a range if different screw holes so it is easy to fix the base when replacing an old one. The test alarm is quieter than the real thing. You need to double press the test button to hear the full volume.

    I bought one in january and it started to false alarm through the night. Replaced it in july. Its now september and the second is now doing the same thing. Its not fit for purpose, which is a bit scary for a smoke alarm. I can only assume the good reviews are because theyre fine at the start, easily fitted etc. i was a happy enough customer to begin with too, and forgiving enough to assume it was a one off and try again. But here we are. If more people reviewed it in hindsight (which happen to be mostly negative) It would paint a more accurate picture. I would doubt anybody gets anywhere near ten years out of it unless it just doesnt work at all and youre none the wiser. The company obviously doesnt take quality control very seriously, which for safety products is quite disgraceful. At least now i can get one i can trust, and i hope you do too by avoiding this one.
