5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for sealing flat roof
I had a leak in a flat roof covered with a bitumen roofing felt. I came across this product and it looked perfect for the job. I was not wrong, the area of the leak was around a cool wall wood burner chimney and with the heavy rain in the UK over the winter this needed addressing fast. I fired up the wood burner and had it running for about 2 hours prior to starting work. this dried up the felt area around the affected area. I heated the tin of Gorilla Waterproof Coat & Seal to make it more pliable on the edge of the wood burner - nothing too intense, just for 20 mins. I gave it a good shake and gathered the other items that were required for the job: a stick to stir with, flat head screwdriver for tin opening, a container for white spirits, white spirits, paint brush and old rag. I gave the rubber compound a mix for about 30 secs as suggested, poured it on to the area around the chimney and painted it in. I applied it generously and neatened up the edges forming a square patch around and up the chimney wall about 2inches. it was easy and straight forward, and did the job perfectly. I have bought a second tin should another coat be required. It costs about £350 to have a roofer review and fix this, and for £25 and 30 mins it was an easy fix.
5.0 out of 5 stars great for smallish leaks on roof
I have to say this Gorilla seal is really good used to seal up my workshop inside and outside roof seem leaks, one thick coat dries tacky over night and fully dry in 48 hours
4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff but......
It is really good stuff but the tin is very difficult to reseal adequately being just a normal paint tin. If you don't finish the entire contents in one go it forms a thick rubber skin within a few days that gets thicker with time. Suggest pouring a little turpentine on the surface before putting the lid back on then wrap the tin in cling film. The manufacturer really needs to address this problem as it is too expensive to waste.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works, when cheaper brands DONT.
We have tried several smaller cheaper brands as only had a couple small places on our guttering that leaked, so did not want to spend a lot.Alas nothing worked, got fed up tooth the path round to the back of my garden being constantly wet, no let up in the rain.Got this, painted it on and several wet days later, my path is dry. Doesn’t pay to get cheap stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Arrived very quickly. I had a leak in spare bedroom ceiling . It was a tiny hole smaller than a 5pence piece dripping water . I got on roof and saw it was a broken slate tile and the crack was right above the nail hole . I got up on roof and painted broken tile with product and left for a few hours. Then when it was still tacky I stuck the slate back and gave it another coat. I’ve given it another 2 coats since and bingo . No leak saved myself a few pounds not getting a roofer up thereProduct is amazing it’s been a few weeks of continuous rain since and still no leaking
