  • CLOTHES DOCTOR NO. 4 - Our gentle Silk Detergent helps retain the luxurious properties of your silk or delicate garments. Lightly scented with bergamot and sandalwood, the detergent is perfect to cleanse your delicate garments, while still being suitable for those with sensitive skin. Our 50ml bottle contains up to 3 washes.
  • PRESERVING SILK CLOTHING - Where possible use a specialist gentle laundry detergent for your silk items. Clothes Doctor No. 4 has a pH neutral formula which helps prevent the degradation of the delicate silk fibres during the washing process.
  • CRUELTY FREE - Our products are Leaping Bunny Approved, palm oil free, vegan and bottled in the UK in infinitely recyclable plastic free aluminium bottles.
  • HOW TO - Turn your garment inside out. Hand wash: Fill a basin with cool water. Pour in 2-3 caps per garment and add your clothes. Agitate the water, leave for 15 minutes, and no longer than 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Machine: Use delicates wash setting. Pour 2-3 caps into the machine drawer. Remove promptly at the end of the cycle.

    Very good for either machine or hand washing delicate underwear. Also hand washing Silk, leaves material gently fragranced and naturally soft.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

    Used the wash to wash a silk dress that before I had only dry cleaned....the results were almost better than the dry cleaner and saved me money. In a hand wash cycle on the washing machine it is so simple to use and didn't need to use much of the product....could easily wash up to 15-20 items making it 100% worth the money (especially vs dry cleaning 15+ items) Smells nice too!

    seems to be an effective silk wash. Just soak the clothes in basin and pour three cups and leave it for 15 min. The stains on the collar were removed (left with very light mark, satisfactory)Do wear your glove if you have sensitive skin. the detergent is quit strong.

    This product is terrible, IMO. It is harsh on sensitive skin, the smell is overpowering and noxious, and the product doesn’t actually clean the garment. I’ve had to re-rinse my silk pillowcase over three times and I still haven’t been able to use it again without a negative reaction on my face.

    Have recently discovered silk pillowcases from a well known brand and have since purchased the silk headband, slipping mask and face mask to go with it! The brands own silk wash is almost 3 times the price of this which is ridiculous. Very easy to use and has a mild inoffensive smell.
