    I have been using one of these for a year or so and decided to install some more. I had two existing smoke alarms of another make and they kept going off in the middle of the night with false alarms. A nightmare! I have not had this problem with my existing FireAngel smoke alarm so am using these throughout the house. They are very easy to install and to test. Also really good that the battery lasts for ten years.

    I bought these as they were recommended by the fire service and as I'm disabled I was sick of having to struggle to replace batteries.These like to go off and scare you from your sleep at random times. One night one went off hourly until it was taken down. It's like an air raid siren so not only did I not sleep, not did my neighbours.Theres no sense or reason to the false alarms. You might be asleep, or just sitting reading and suddenly you are jerked into panic, rushing to find a step ladder to press the button so it does a second alarm and then shuts up until it decides you are back to unaware and its time for another fright.I'm ordering a different brand now because I want to sleep deeply again, and only be woken by a siren if I'm actually having a fire, not what must be the dog farting and setting it off.
