I have a free standing fridge freezer which always looked a bit out of place in kitchen but limited space meant couldn't really build a bulky cabinet around it. I had the y idea of using two mdf tongue and groove panels to blend in with kitchen cabinets and using magnetic tape to stick them to side of fridge. Ordered a 6m and a 3m roll of this tape. I think really just a 6m to would've been enough as used all the 3m and only a bit of 6m (should've started with the 6m first). I did use a bit of superglue under each strip to give extra adhesion to panel without testing the stickiness of the tape without so can't comment how well it would've stuck without it. Really pleased with the result and fridge looks more part of the cabinetry now, obviously not a professional cabinetry job but a good compromise. Takes quite a strong pull to remove the panels so they're well stuck. I used a bit of cheap timber stuff as a bridging piece across the top to complete the look. Can all be easily removed if needed without damaging the fridge or the floor.

The adhesive is 3M and strong but the magnetic side isn’t as strong as made out to be.
It Definitely Works
I was a little skeptical at first as the magnet tape is curved once unpacked, that it would not lay flat, however once the tape is peeled off on the adhesive side, it is fine. Probably better if cut and uncoiled when warm. I use it in the garage and have put a lighter on it so far to keep on the file cabinet and refrigerator. I can't say just how much weight it will hold but honestly, i am not looking to hang a hammer with it. I think if you are looking for something magnet that sticks and holds, it works. Not sure how strong the adhesive is other than a lighter or something i need posted on the fridge. Right now, I believe it to be a good quality product, but if i find different, i will be posting again.
Did not work for Eufy Robovac 30C.
I'm sure this magnetic tape has lots of handy uses. I needed it for one thing, to stop my Robovac from going over a step-down.Didn't work for that.
Lightweight, less strong magnet
Although the quality of the GAUDER magnetic tape is good, it is not nearly as strong in magnetic quality or adhesion as the others they offer. If you need to hang anything up that has any more weight than a small pair of scissors or a light tool, I recommend buying their very strong offering over this strong offering. I have a magnetic motion sensor light that is apparently too heavy for this tape to support it.
Holds great!
I used this in my classroom to hang up a motivational plaque on my whiteboard. I was able to cut a strip in half lengthwise and stick to the backside top and bottom. Now the plaque is securely hanging in the front of the room where all the students can see it. I am really impressed with how strong the magnetic tape is and how well it works. Super easy to use too!
Magnetic Tape for Light Weight Objects
The magnetic strip is strong but not a super strong magnet i.e. it's not a neodymium magnet. This magnet strip is good for items that are somewhat light weight. I would not expect the magnet would be able to hold up tools. However, there are lots of potential uses for it such as keeping cabinet doors closed. If you are looking for a magnetic strip, this is a decent one.
