We bought the video doorbell 2 in 2018, and unfortunately it was starting to show its age - the night image was pretty bad, and the microphone was muffled to the extent you could no longer have a conversation.First of all, if you have a 2nd generation and want to upgrade to this, it literally swapped in the sense I didn’t have to drill new holes - this was a massive relief as I feared any new one would need to be redrilled potentially very close to the original holes. This did come with a wedge which seemed to need different drill holes, therefore I decided not to bother with this.I installed this at 4 as it was getting dark, and immediately noticed a difference with the image quality - it’s actually in colour and much clearer. In addition, the sound picks up everything.Like all ring products, setup was super easy in the app and we had this configured like the old one in no time. Glad I made the purchase and am looking forward to getting the power adapter so I no longer have to keep swapping the batteries!

Easy to fit and set up and works well with the other RING components in my house alarm. The camera is good and on the whole I am happy with it.Obviously how fast it responds will depend on your wifi. I get reasonable wifi performance but the RING alert on the app often lags many seconds behind an actually caller ringing the doorbell. So this aspect of its functionality is pretty useless. Delivery people don't hand around and have often been and gone by the time the doorbell alerts me on the app or even on the house chime.We don't get many callers but if you do and are highly dependent on your doorbell alerting you, then you might want to think twice if this is for you.

I bought this as my new extension means I can no longer see visitors at the door. The doorbell is easy to set up with very clear instructions. It might be best if the instruction to charge the battery pack was the first instruction rather than several steps in, so my advice - do that before you start the setup. The video is very sharp, and the short video recording when the motion sensor is triggered is pretty useful. The ability to adjust the motion detection zone is essential otherwise you will be pestered by false positives.The only downer I have is that nowhere in the purchasing process is it made clear that you also need to buy a chime to use it as a normal doorbell. Fortunately the multiple notifications from devices with the Ring app installed and the linked Alexa hub compensate for this.

It was easy to fix on doorframe and battery is easy to change but screw is a little fiddly to put back .I bought a spare charger and battery which I find useful .My son in law has one so helped with setup as you need the ring app.The pictures are good from video so overall pleased with it.

The bell unit itself is not badly made it is robust and easy to fit with minimum fuss. Easy to connect to the network and phone. Ring app works well.When the door is approached the Alexa indoors and my phone alert me someone's at the door. When the door push is operated the chime sounds on the Alexa device too so that's good. The app seems to link quickly to the bell and you can communicate via the microphone so again goodThe downside is the default messages and the lack of ability to compile your own messages. There are messages like leave parcels outside but no ability to say please place parcels insideSurely would not be difficult to implement in the app to type or record a message but it's not there. Instead you some American bint spouting the default ones. Apparently you can now get Ant and Freaking Dec voices and messages - cheers for that! Not! Also you have to pay almost double for a subscription that covers further devices in your house so screwing more cash out of people who buy their own products. Nice one Geoff!The door bell is good but more customisation to individual needs would make it much better.

Mit einem chime pro, den ich mir noch dazugekauft habe ist der wlan empfang jetzt ausreichend,ich muss aber wahrscheinlich noch eien chime pro kaufen um das signal noch zu verbessern

Je l'utilise depuis plus d'un an. J'ai choisi ce modèle car il a un bon angle de vue "verticale" (pour escaliers). Vous pouvez vous attendre à devoir recharger la batterie tous les 3 mois (quelques heures)

Lässt sich super einrichten. Dann der der tollen Anleitung in der App! Habe es heute montiert.Kann daher noch nicht viel dazu sagen.Bei der Klingel lassen sich die Klingeltöne leider nicht verstellen…Und obwohl wir auf Maximal gestellt haben, ist der Ton sehr leise..
