This has a 5 litre capacity and double layer insulation. The Science says air is a poor conductor so FILL with boiled water immediately from the kettle and then stopper straight away. Boil the second kettle and then do the same. Fill to the stopper. This improves the heat longevity. Also maybe prep the flask with boiled water to kick-start the ambient temp, then empty, then fill as quickly as below.All the above applies whatever the capacity and the real requirement would be around what capacity you need for the number of people in your household. This one possibly for a 3 household at home all day. Anything left over, perhaps use to wash up with. The pump is simple but workable, just don't stab at the mechanism and use long, slow measured draughts respecting the plastic parts. These things are built to budget so accept that and it'll last.Finally this model will be too unwieldy for seniors unless carers can fill for them. For the rest of us this could be a convenient and energy bill saver.

Now I admit that I've only had this airpot for 24 hours. But in that time I've been both impressed by it's design, but disappointed by it's performance. I only wanted to use this to keep boiling water at a temperature suitable for making hot drinks over a day. The specification says it keeps hot for up to 8 hours, and cold for up to 24 hours. The key words, after trying the air pot, is "up to".The design of the pot is superb, with a very clever mechanism for filling, sealing and pumping the liquid content. But after filling, I became concerned after only a short while as the outer casing became warm to the touch - which can only mean that it is leaking heat. I don't know what the insulation is - it is described as a Full Steel Vacuum Chamber - but I did not expect this. Even an expanded polystyrene lined chamber wouldn't allow this amount of heat leakage, and a vacuum chamber should have even better insulation performance. And sure enough, it doesn't retain heat for anywhere near the time claimed; after just 5 hours the water had become tepid.A great design, but I will reluctantly be returning my item for the very simple reason is that it is useless at actually doing what it is supposed to do.

This seemed great at first because it does keep drinks hot for hours - then I found out that it’s not possible to wash it, only rinse through with hot water. Useless for my mum who has milk in her coffee - fine for me, but I bought it for her so it wasn’t fit for purpose unfortunately

Preso due di questi thermos in due litraggi diversi, da 5 e da 3. Li considero di ottima fattura, tengono a caldo le bevande per davvero tantissime ore. Soffermandomi su questo thermos da 5 litri, ho potuto constatare che anche il giorno dopo il the era ancora caldo... ha una tenuta davvero formidabile. È comodo, sia da pulire che da asciugare. Per prelevare il liquido la testata si apre e si sistema automaticamente in modalità erogazione con leva, comodissima. Presa per una squadra di calcio, il meccanismo sembra quasi delicato ma è sopravvissuta all'utilizzo, manipolata da tanti ragazzini (sono diversi mesi che la stiamo adoperando). Davvero molto consigliata, il prezzo ne vale la pena per il materiale e la qualità, che ho apprezzato e continuo ad apprezzare tantissimo.

ENFIN une thermos qui répond à nos attentes : ce système LÀ à pompe est bien conçu, va tenir dans le temps.Utile cette version en 3 litres lors des repas en famille : je peux anticiper bien avant la fin du repas car le café reste chaud plus de 8h ( remplie de liquide chaud ).Utile lors de journées à la pêche, les déplacements en famille...La qualité est là tout comme l' esthétique, elle a sa place sur la desserte (ou sur la table) pas encombrante.Je vous recommande CE fabricant ; )
Ein super Angebot
Eine sehr schöne Pumpkanne ,kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.Sie halt auch mehr wie acht Stunden den Kaffee heiß . Haben morgens um 5 Uhr Kaffee reingefüllt und er war noch um 16 richtig heiß . Von mir bekommt es glatte fünf Sterne. Bin auch noch am Überlegen ob ich noch eine zweite Gestelle.
