We recently got a puppy, and he ate his food soooo fast that it concerned me a bit.After reading up on the issue, I stumped across slow feeders and thought I would give them a try.I got the Purrfects slow feeder because a lot of the other ones I saw, looked like my puppy would still be able to get his snout between the raised sections and eat his food fast.The Purrfects slow feeder has lots of smalled raised sections, which work well with our puppies smaller snout.It has really slowed him down. His feeding time has gone from something crazy like 20 seconds to a few minutes. He is still really happy at meal times and it doesn't stress him out.He is a Cocker Spaniel, so it gives him some much needed mental stimulation as well which is an added bonus.Well worth the money. If you are having the same problems that we did, I really recommend this product.

I have a 13 year old lab that inhaled his food to the point that he was coughing and choking for some time after. I’ve tried a different type of slow feed bowl before, but it didn’t really help. This however, has really helped to slow him down. He enjoys working for the dry food and it’s a great size for kibble. He has a lot of veg, couscous and raw food for his evening meal. When we feed him this, we have to split the meal in two. Otherwise, it can get quite messy. I’d hardly call that a draw back, though. It’s definitely worth buying, and I think the price of it is very reasonable. Further, its great that we can put it through the dishwasher to get it super clean for the next use. The bowl feels well made and of good quality. It even comes with rubber feet to stop it sliding around on the floor whilst he eats. I would highly recommend this product, especially if you have a dog that inhales their food.

bought this for my 4-month-old lab puppy who was scoffing at his food in under 30 seconds and throwing it up.This bowl has considerably increased his eating time from 30 seconds to 4-5 minutes minimum.The bowl however is light and my pup starts playing with it after his meal. The rubber non-slip fitting at the bottom of the bowl is a slight hazard if your puppy chews on everything like me as it disintegrates from the bowl and can be easily ingested by puppies.Overall happy with the bowl and I put it away from him after every meal

Very sturdy, great quality value for money dog bowlThere’s no slipping and moving around, as long as you haven’t got it on a tiled floor, so I have now started feeding our dog on the carpet.The pooch was being sick regularly, because of a grain intolerance but also just simply due to the fact how quickly she would eat a bowl of food. She adapted to the bowl and she loves eating out of it now and even sits down patiently, which she never used to do while I fill it up with food. Great bowl for a great dog. Definitely recommended.

this is easy to use not too fiddly and slows my hungry hound enough to stop help gobbling their food. works well for dry and wet food. its easy to clean manually and on a quick dishwasher wash ( top rack) .

The media could not be loaded. This is really sturdy and well made, it's fantastic for the price. Washes fine.It comes with little push in rubber feet so it won't move much on lino.However.My problem (or should I say one of my cat's problems) is that it's too deep. He absolutely can't get in it bless him. The projections are just too high for him. He's used his hands but got quite frustrated growling at it and his little tongue isn't long enough to reach his treats at the bottom.He was a rescue stray so I assume he's had to fight for his food and he doesn't chew his treats; he already has raised slow feeders for his regular food (as I believe all cats and dogs should) but I wanted a small one like this just for treats.Thankfully I have another huge cat and a massive dog so this lovely little bowl won't go to waste, butI've had to order my tiniest cat a slow feeder with lower projections.

My 2 boys would gulp food at the speed of light otherwise. Slow feeder bowl slows them down well.
Great dog bowl for fast eaters
My dog tends to inhale his food and get bloated so I needed a way to get him to eat slower. This bowl is perfect. The grooves in the design make him slow down. Great product.
Too young
Loved the look. But our puppy was just too young to figure it out. We sent it back. Dry again when she’s older.
