5.0 out of 5 stars Budget Price, High-Quality TV
This Hisense TV was almost a third of the price of the Sony TV I was looking at and to be honest, I don't think I'll ever go back to the big named brands again after experiencing this amazing TV.Its 4K is the best I've seen on any brand, the picture quality for streaming, Blu-rays and PS5 games is unmatched. There is plenty of options for various connections, there is loads and loads of options for app downloads. The sound is fine and there is plenty of adjustments for amending every kind of picture and sound quality. The only negative I could find, and I had to look really, really hard for this, is the TV will not play MP4 files which the older model I have in my bedroom has no issue with. However, it does play MKV files from a hard-drive and that's the best container for media, so it's really not a problem.Fantastic TV and I am over the moon with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible value.
I grew tired of the negativity pushed upon us from the mainstream, so I got rid of my TV more than 20 years ago. I recently decided I wanted a larger monitor rather than watching video's etc on my iMac so I did a wee bit of research and decided to go with this Hisense 50A6BGTUK 4K Smart TV. The set up out of the box was very simple ( even for a technophobe like me. I bought a sound bar which also took no time at all to set up via the eHDMI ARC ( the one remote takes care of all operations, which is a huge bonus, IMO ) The picture quality is outstanding, especially at the price, and the sound quality through a budget friendly sound bar is perfect for my requirements. All in all, a remarkably fair price for a fabulous piece of kit.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very good tv
No issues, picture quality is sharp, maybe the smallest gripe would be the volume isn't the greatest, its not bad, but not like maybe a Sony ... other than that it's a great TV
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the money
Hard to find fault with this TV for £299, but there's a couple if minor things I'd change if I could.1. I'm having to use the digital output to my sound system as it doesn't have HDMI (Hi-Fi system). This isn't a problem by itself, it's just that the TV then isolates the sound to this digital connection only, meaning it cuts off the TV sound. This means I have to keep swapping the sound settings when I want to use the Hi-Fi sound. My previous TV simply added the hi-fi sound to the TV sound which meant I didn't have to change any settings.2. NowTV app isn't available on this TV. Not a major problem as I only have NowTV for 3 months a year at Christmas, and can use my PS4 for this, but still, it needs mentioning. So far I can't find any other issues. Yes the sound quality isn't brilliant, but TVs nowadays are all shite in this regard as they're so thin, so can't knock it for that.Overall for this price, I'd definitely recommend this TV. It looks great with its tiny frame, works well for Smart functions, and produces a good picture. Works well for games too.Be aware I've only had it for a week.
5.0 out of 5 stars £300 for a 50" 4K tv is a steal.
This Tv is great for the money paid, the picture and sound are both great, Alexa and all the smart features work perfect. Overall 5 stars!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good 👍
The picture quality, colours display, size, connectivity and all about this tv is so good. Whaooo to the weight, very light and easy to use app and remote control.
5.0 out of 5 stars How do they do it for £299! (50 inch)
Represents excellent value for money. The elephant in the room is the picture quality. It needs some time spent on colour tuning the panel. The pre sets are pointless. Leave on standard setting and work with the individual settings. I've cracked it now and a more than satisfied with the results. Whites are white and black is black. It took some time. Find a good HD broadcast. I used BBC HD then ran a Netflix stream to double check. I cannot comment on the sound as I have a sound bar etc. but you need sound quality to complement the picture. All the smart aspects of the TV worked well. Again I don't use as I take all my content from Sky Q which is able to be set to UHD to get best results. As I said for £299 it's a real bargain.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great TV for the price receives satellite channels as well
Got this to replace my 43inch Toshiba.Better picture quality, blacks are black with no funny blurring.Sound is good as well.Lots of apps and easy to select Bolo, Netflix etc.You can even plug in a satellite dish, though tuning takes ages and you get multiplied channels (8 versions of itv), the schedule view is lousy as well.Cons are: manual is onscreen. The booklet that comes with it basically says turn on and follow onscreen guide. Trial and error got it going quite well.TV guide and choosing to view, record or timeshift is not very intuitive.Update: BBC HD channels showing instead of SD.Stuttering picture on start up but this goes after few seconds.Sound delay on changing channels.Watching at an angle is not so good, washes out colour.
