5.0 out of 5 stars Our First Doorbell Camera
The EUKI Wireless WiFi Video Doorbell Camera arrived within a few days of ordering and we were impressed with the packaging considering it was not the most expensive camera on the market. On opening the box you find the camera and a mounting box that it clips into. Our version also came with a remote chime complete with batteries. Underneath was a bag of screws, instruction book, a charge lead, a screwdriver and a couple of screws to hold the camera in the display holder. Our door is on the side of the house so I mounted the camera at an angle to get a view of the driveway approach. You can buy an angled mount but is was not required with my door frame design. You basically turn the camera on and all the adjustments are completed on the free app downloaded from the internet. The camera features an alarm if the camera is removed from the holding frame which scared our postman the first time because I had not seated the camera properly. The camera lens is good and night vision is good. There is a two way intercom, a motion sensor that can be turned on or off. Every time someone presses the bell or walks past the door it takes a picture and sends a note to your phone or iPad depending on which one you are logged onto. You can save videos to the cloud (£3.99 per mth) or buy an SD card, I have got a 16gb card which will hold 24 months of videos according to the manual. There are quite a few settings to choose from, including sharing the video/photos etc with other family members. This is good if the main user is away from the house and another family member is at home.I got the remote chime which comes with batteries and you then link it to the camera and you have an in house chime that everyone can hear. There are three tunes to choose from.I have not used all the features yet but I am impressed with what you get for the money. I bought mine from Bolo, it was on special offer because it is being replaced with a newer version, however the new model is very reasonably priced so check this camera out before buying a really expensive model. This is all backed up by a warranty and a very good customer service which keeps you informed during delivery, and they are there in case you have a question or if you get any issues.
5.0 out of 5 stars excellent price without compromise on functionality
i use this to check alert via app on my mobile phone who is ringing my doorbell without having to answer the door and also the fact i can check on attempted delivery's when i am not at home.
1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish - doesn’t last!
Bought this under a year ago. It was good first 4/5 months then I noticed that it only records when someone is actually at the front door, which is not want I wanted from a video doorbell . We wanted our driveway monitored and it does not record and alert till someone is physically at the front door at the camera . It also only records for 5 seconds !!But main reason we are getting new one is in the past month the battery is running out after 3 days !!! I am now having to charge it every three days until my new one comes this week . We buy the bullet and ordered a Ring doorbell instead . Didn’t try for a refund as I’ve read others on this site have tried with no success .Don’t waste your money !
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Doorbell
I have bought 3 cameras now and i love that you Do NOT need to pay a subscription you can buy the memory card instead recordings are good and clear easily adjustable for your needs the App is easy to use and set up i did have an issue when the audio stopped working on one of my cameras i contacted the team and they responded quickly and got the issue sorted for me if you are looking for a good quality doorbell cam with great features and doesn't need to cost a fortune i eould highly recommend this company
3.0 out of 5 stars Could be so good
Cloud Edge App is horribly unintuitive. Different settings are split, accessible by clicking on "me" and the settings icon. Can't find anything to adjust the number of rings on your phone before the call is answered, first it rings, then vibrates, then rings etc. etc. Inclosed instructions are useless, but an Email arrived from Bolo with much more detailed instructions, that are written in good English and worth printing. Management of stored images seems non existent, they appear to be there for ever, clearing the cache might delete them all but you might want to keep some. Have not managed to find where the App stores data on my Android phone yet. The indoor doorbell does not have a hole in the back to hang it on the wall or a wall mountable holder to slide it into. If you use a double sided pad to stick it in place the batteries are not accessible, however it does have a micro USB socket so could be powered externally. The same is true for the doorbell but water ingress would be a problem outdoors. Picture quality and low light performance are pretty good, a PIR operated porch light would be a good thing to install if you are able and have a porch, to avoid a silhouetted image at night. Another review stated you can't install on multiple phones, you can, and they all ring, you just can't run the App to view images etc., on more than one phone at a time. You can share devices, giving other family members access, without being able to mess up your settings. These are my initial thoughts I might grow to love it in time, but initial reaction is frustration!
Good affordable door camera
Update: The camera is still working great and it is very durable. The battery will last for 3 months and with a super charger you will not miss porch pirates or deliveries. Make sure you set it up in the right place on your door ( not too low or too high). It's great for our safety and peace of mind. I recommend this hassle free doorbell camera. The camera was in great shape when I got it. Instillation was easy. The picture is great, it motion detects just fine on a low setting. Its been less than a week since I have put it up. I will get you more of a review once it has passed 30 days and then again in 6 months. Glad I purchased this item as my last doorbell stopped working after 3 years. At this point I would recommend to others.
Perfect for apartments!
Purchased this for my daughter's apartment for added security and extra piece of mind for this mama. I have been super impressed with the quality of pictures and longevity of the battery life. This was super easy to install (daughter did it by herself in less than 5 minutes), added the app to our phones and we are instantly notified of anyone around her door. Settings are easy to control, resolution of pictures is great, no grainy images. Price was great, nothing outrageous, Would recommend for anyone to purchase
Good quality
The camera is amazing and works very well. Easy instillation.
Directions don’t mention what is in my review
Very hard to set up app. It kept saying I needed to be connected to WiFi 2 not the 5. I tried several times. Then it said camera was too far away from router. Then it would tell me to change my wpa settings on my router. I couldn’t figure out how to do that. Told me also to power off and restart router. Tried that. Finally I created an account for the app on my desktop and uninstalled then reinstalled the app that I was trying to connect to for the camera. Signed in no problem and when connecting to WiFi it brings up a hidden WiFi (maybe the cameras own?) no clue but I had at connect to that hidden one. I am using my camera more as a security camera than a doorbell. As you can see in pic I place it facing my front door. It also catches a glimpse of my neighbors door. Being as I have a sunporch I didn’t want to face it toward the road as my house is like 40 feet from the road and the motion of the cars would kill the battery very fast. The camera gets placed in a holder than you can slide it out to recharge the battery when needed. It did not come with a micro sim but I had one from my last camera that stopped working after a couple years. Not sure what the SIM card does as every day nothing is saved to it. I did not pay for any service they offer. Maybe I’d I did it would save clips? I just like the fact that I can keep an eye on my front door when I’m not at home and also when it detects motion I get notification. Also sometimes I’ll get to work and wonder if I shut my front door because I go in and out of the house a couple times before driving away. I have left my door open before but thankfully the sunporch I guess distracts intruders. I say this camera is worth the $53 dollars to have a piece of mind. You can easily move it anywhere if needed. It will stand up on a window sill or even a dresser if you have elders or children to keep an eye on. The picture quality is great! Same with the motion detection. Delivered next day too. I do recommend this camera.
Hard to connect
Every time we had to reconnect to this, it had issues. It can only use 2.4 wifi connection and not 5 like most routers are. We had a dual router just so we could use this product and it just stopped connecting after a year and a half. I guess you get what you pay for. When it was connected and working, it did alright.
