[2]When recording 4K/120fps, Action 2 will stop filming when the set Auto-Stop Rec Temp is reached. If set as Standard, 4K/120fps video can be recorded for around 3 minutes. If set to High, 4K/120fps video can be recorded for around 5 minutes. Using the DJI Action 2 Magnetic Protective Case helps reduce surface temperature to optimize video recording by increasing recording length under normal conditions. In countries and regions that support setting Auto-Stop Rec Temp as High, the recording time is about 10 minutes in an indoor environment of 25 °C with the protective case mounted.

Ignore the frantic comments about this camera overheating. Sure: on a hot day, this camera will overheat after a new minutes: BUT SO WILL ALL HIGH RESOLUTION ACTION CAMERAS CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET.And, yes: that includes the GoPro Hero 10.This is just the state of the art: recording at 4k/60fps is hugely demanding for current generation silicon and generates a lot of heat.However, in most circumstances, and in most countries, overheating is not a problem. And that's all that matters.

The Action 2 had a very rough time on its release and received a lot of bad press. Although, I suspect a lot of the negativity was by people who didn't really understand the camera.The camera is brilliant for spare of the moment shots and also for having a bare minimum setup for capturing good video and in some instances when you can expose manually, excellent video for such a small camera.I use mine without the extra module, so just the camera module and plug in the battery module just to charge the main camera module when needed. This means I can have the smallest, highest quality camera for taking spare of the moment shots.With just the camera module on its own, which has about 22GB of built in storage. I can get about 30 minutes of 25FPS 4K/UHD video recording and about 35 minutes of battery before needing to recharge with the battery module. If shooting in 1080, then you are getting more recording time and battery time.The built in microphone for the camera module is excellent for an inbuilt mic. It is easily better quality than the Hero 11, which I also have, and is great for vlogging. Indeed, while the Action 2 can have an external mic attached to it via the USB C port on the second camera module and battery module. For recording vlogging stuff or where the sound your recording is close by, I've found there to be no need for an external mic. Which keeps an Action 2 vlogging setup super small and mega convenient.With the release of the Action 3 there has been a fairly substantial reduction in the price of the Action2. Which makes the Action 2 at its new price, an absolute bargain for anyone looking for a tiny, high quality video camera.Just remember that while this camera is sold as an action camera, as its name suggests. It has many great uses for a lot of scenarios where you need a small camera.I would 100% recommend the Action, especially at its new price.

This is a brilliant form factor device, very discreet and lightweight.The magnetic attachment system is so much of a time saver and being able to attach it to anything magnetic is a big bonus. The necklace is a nice addition too (included).The image quality is great, however you're going to have issues with image quality if you use manual settings on a low framrate and RockSteady if you're moving as it will introduce jittering in the image. This is a let down as you'll need to have it on full auto to get the best results, which isn't great if you want exposure control. That said, this issue isn't unique to DJi and is due to technical limitations of software image stabilization.Sound quality is average as you'd expect from a device of this size, though spoken word and ambiances are clear and acceptable.The device does get hot, but I've not had any shut downs because it. You really cannot expect a device like this not to get hot so don't worry about the overheating issues if you're not in hot climates. You can use 1080 if you don't want the device to get as hot.Battery life is good enough and with the battery module you'll get plenty of record time.Steady Mode offers a good level of stabilization.RockSteady mode is superb and offers excellent stabilization, it almost negates the need for a gimbal. I'm very impressed with this feature.Horizon Stead. Very useful for keeping the horizon steady!Horizon Balancing. Very useful for keeping the image locked regardless of which way round the camera is.Charge time is quick with USB C.Lovely screen quality, very bright and vivid with an easy to use navigation system. All modes and options are quick to access.The device is worth buying in my opinion.

After a relatively short period of use, the Front Screen Module no longer works. Reviewing the online advice from DJI support has not provided a fix. As a result, I cannot access the SD card storage extension in the FSM, thus severely limiting recording capabilities nor am I able to upgrade firmware. Poor design and manufacture. Avoid. By contrast, I've used a £150 Panasonic Lumix for 15 years without problems.

Purchased with the protective / heat reducing case. Read a lot of reviews stating the overheating problem - TBH I thought this was unlikely, it’s DJI after all, they make excellent products, the very next day I took it out on its maiden voyage, clipped just the main unit (with the aforementioned case) to the necklace through my shirt and went walking with the dog, 6/7 mins into my walk the camera beeped 3/4 times - I checked the rear screen noticing an orange alert banner stating ‘Recording stopped due to excessive heat’ - cleared the message and started recording again, 2/3 mins later same thing…. So on and so forth….. I adjusted the resolution down to 1080 30 fps - giving me the exact same ‘overheating’ issue :-( This is a real shame, the camera is exceptionally well made, easy to navigate menus and the footage was fairly good - I will add here that footage was not as good as my iPhone 13 @ the same resolutions. Quite disappointed with my purchase and duly returned.

I like versatility and the magnet form factor let's me be creative. Yes unit warms up if you record stationary and in warm environment. However attaching with battery pack gives more tolerance to heat. Microphone recording was the biggest surprise! If not windy, output was clear and not muffled or tinny. Im a filmmaker and having secondary mic placement is great for coverage!

Acheter lors d'une promotion Bolo a 225€ en bundle double écran extension de batterie !Avant de me l'offrir j'avais regarder énormément de review sur le produit, il en ressort surtout un problème de surchauffe que j'ai constaté lors de mes tests en intérieur mais qui n'a jamais été un problème pendant mes sessions a l'extérieur en condition réel avec mon utilisation et mes besoins.La qualité est au rendez-vous clairement cette caméra est robuste, la qualité d'image est très bonne et la stabilisation est bluffante, bref pour mes besoins c'est parfait je ne vais pas en rajouter je suis satisfait.Maintenant je conseille d'ajouter des filtres ND, ND/PL ou/et CPL pour améliorer la qualité des rushs comme pour tout type de caméra moderne cela est permet clairement une meilleure fluidité de l'image en améliorant la qualité perçue même sur cette petite caméra.Je conseille aussi vivement d'ajouter des protections d'écran et d'objectif qui ne coûte que quelques euros et permet vraiment d'éviter beaucoup de déconvenues.Si vous pensez l'utiliser de manière intensive, vous pouvez envisager d'acheter un module de batterie supplémentaire vendue séparément car l'autonomie pour une journée d'utilisation intensive peut être limité même si la recharge est rapide au cas ou vous n'aurez pas de chargeur externe ou de prise de courant a disposition.En conclusion c'est une caméra très compacte qui offre une qualité haut de gamme facile a utiliser et ergonomique, attention a la surchauffe et l'autonomie c'est effectivement un risque mais qui dépend vraiment de vos besoins et exigences (en drone fpv, saut en parachute ou escalade.. malheureusement cela dépendra d'autant plus les facteurs..)C'est une alternative intéressante surtout aujourd'hui a ce niveau de tarif aux traditionnel GoPro.Je précise encore que je l'ai obtenu a 225€ ce qui est clairement intéressant au niveau rapport qualité prix mi-2024 mais cette caméra n'a cependant jamais valu les 500€ a sa sorti.Je conseille quand même cette caméra sous réserve que vous vous renseignez correctement sur vos besoins et vos exigences, c'est une caméra d'action qui n'est pas optimale pour toutes les activités mais c'est le sacrifice d'un produit aussi compacte, cependant vous ne serez pas déçu par la qualité et le soin que DJI offre a cette appareil.
