5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money
This is a good piano to learn on, or a useful practice piano for more experienced players. We bought this for our holiday home, so my partner could continue to practice when away from her acoustic piano at home. It works well, decent action (for the money) and all three pedals to play with. It's very simple to assemble and looks very smart. It also has the advantage of never needing to be tuned, and safe for kids to play around on.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound
Super quick delivery. Easy set up. Looks great. Sounds fab!
5.0 out of 5 stars I love this digital piano
For me, a complete novice, this digital piano is perfect! No hundreds of sounds and effects to distract me, just the keys! The piano looks great in the room and I just love it. I think it sounds great too. I was nearly seduced by the thought of a funky keyboard with bells and whistles, but so glad I stuck to this model. I am pleased I went for the model with the lid as it keeps the cat from jumping on the keys and also keeps the dust out. Also the pedal housing looks better in the matching wood veneer. Really pleased with my purchase. It’s just a pity I can’t buy the talent to go along with it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Quality is very good
Surprised how heavy it was. The lid felt like a real piano. The keys feel good and have that real piano thud . The timbre is good.....to a blindfolded person they would think it a real piano. This is only thru the internal speakers , I guess thru better sound system the tone would be increased greatly. The velocity and sustain of they keys work very well.No organ, trumpet sounds ...just piano with one volume control which feels better, nothing gimmicky. Also the on off and volume on the back out of sight so it feels more like a real piano. Volume can be very loud, the pedals work as they should. It looks more like a vintage electric piano of the 60's than a plastic keyboard of today. Took an hour to assemble and setup. To me the best alternative to a real piano only with volume control and no tuning needed .
5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely electric piano
I took up piano lessons recently and wanted something that closely resembled the feel of an actual piano as a standard keyboard did not allow for playing softly or more loudly as per the pieces of music. This electric piano does just that. It has only one sound, like an actual piano, and that’s more than enough for me ! It also looks really good, and is quite compact although it does have the full 88 keys. It was delivered early, was really easy to assemble and so far I’m delighted with my purchase !
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful piano, outstanding customer services
I'm going back to trying to learn piano (I studied music as a teenager) and this model is perfect for beginning again. It sounds good to me and the assembly was very quick. Looks great in my living room too, and it doesn't look cheap. I had read reviews from other customers saying the switch button didn't seem to turn the piano off. As soon as I tried it I found the same 'problem' and contacted customer services. They responded straight away with the solution: long press the power button for more than 3 seconds to turn it off. It worked! I'm very happy with their response and recommend this company.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best purchase and beautifully packaged
Bought this piano because I wanted to get back into playing after many many years, and this surpassed my expectations.Simple to put together and it sounds great. The quality of the piano is very good and the weighted keys are brilliant, plus it comes with 3 pedals! No whistles and bells, just a straight forward electric piano. If you're looking for a piano that delivers great sound but isn't to expensive, then this one fits the bill.
1.0 out of 5 stars Update: Avoid at all cost! Terrible quality and customer service experience
Updated review 12 Jan 2023Over the last few months a number of keys on the keyboard for stopped working. I reached out to Donner customer service. While their replies are speedy the solution has been completely unsatisfactory.First they request I try to fix the issue myself! Ok so they sent me some instruction on how do do this, expect they were for a completely different model keyboard!I spent an hour or so trying to follow the instructions but was not able to access the part of the keyboard they they asked me to clean.I then asked Donner to either repair or replace the keyboard under the 2 year warranty.I was told this was not possible because the keyboard is out of stock, even though there is stock on the the https://idonner.eu/ website. Donner customer service tell me that this stock can not be released because my purchase was from their Bolo UK stock. So instead they have offered a refund of the original purchase price.A refund would be ok if I could purchase a replacement with it however the price is not £120 more expensive that what I paid for it.So much for a 2-year warranty! All I want is a working keyboard for my boys to continue their piano lessons.Very unhappy!Buyer beware! Avoid this company!--------------------------------------Original review 19 May 2022:Very Impressed! My 2 children, 8 and 10 years old, have been learning piano the last 2 years practicing on a small cheap electric keyboard. I thought it time to upgrade to a full-size piano when I came across the Donner DDP-80 on YouTube. After watching a bunch of reviews decided to go for it. Since buying it a few weeks ago I have seen my children's piano skills increase dramatically so in my opinion it has been well worth the cost. The sound quality and stylishness of the DDP-80 is excellent but more importantly the feel is almost identical to a real piano. Very happy. :)
Elegant design, decent sound, and well weighted keys make for an authentic experience
I owned an acoustic piano for many years before I had to sell it; as a result I’m very picky about the weight and action of my piano keys. This keyboard feels about as good as it gets for a non-acoustic piano. The keys have a pleasing weight and feel almost like the real thing. The piano only comes with one voice option (grand piano) with a MIDI output if you want more, but for regular play this is enough for me. The grand piano sound is rich and quite authentic, but I was disappointed to learn that the volume knob isn’t as smooth/incremental as you’d expect. It’s almost as if there are only three volume settings: quiet, medium, and exceedingly loud. I often use headphones so I suppose it’s not the biggest issue for me, but it felt like a design flaw. The keyboard came very well packaged and required very little assembling; just attach the legs (which are metal for sturdiness) and you’re good to go.Once assembled, it looks like a dream and matches my midcentury modern decor perfectly. The wood has a warm, reddish tone that I just love. It really is a thing of beauty. All in all I’m thrilled with this purchase; it’s an excellent value for any intermediate to advanced player who’s looking for the convenience of a keyboard with the feeling of an acoustic piano!
For a digital this was amazing !..I am very happy ...
Best part is it really sounds like a piano and it's beautiful, value for money !cons: bass - it is a bit "noisy" like a bit harsh sounding. but i don't mind. as it's not an actual piano ! - the keys of course are not piano keys- i find you have to press them a bit harder and you have to get used to them to strike that balance of tonality.Minor details for this price...I adore my donner piano .. it's just amazing, and so much like an upright piano, i just can't believe it.Grateful.
Zum Klavier lernen ist mir nur das Beste gut genug
The media could not be loaded.
