I was reluctant in buying Sodastream because I was not sure I will like it or use it as much! 2 months almost of using it and I can say it’s the best thing ever! I use it everyday and I like the fact that you can choose the level of sparkling you want! It’s very easy to assemble and use! I also got the syrups and since then I haven’t bought any soda beverages from any shop! I would definitely recommend this!

It warns you in the instructions that you should not fizz up anything but water. I of course completely ignored this. I bought it with the sole purpose of re-fizzing soft drinks. And it does it PERFECTLY!I like to buy the big 2L bottles of soft drinks as it is more economical. Of course, once you open them, they can lose their fizz after a few days by the time you feel like another drink.Some bits of advice for anyone who would like to do what I do.-The small 500ml bottles need 2.5 seconds of gas in order to be adequately fizzed to the same degree as the original fresh carbonated drink.The large 1L bottle needs about 5 seconds.-Avoid over fizzing. If you do this, your drink will taste more like acid, overpowering the taste of your drink.-Apply the gas in 1 second depressions and WAIT each time until the drink settles before applying the next squirt. This can take as long as 30 seconds. Ideally you want all the carbon dioxide to dissolve into the drink to the extent you see NO frothing at the top of the drink. If you over gas then you risk the pressure being too great in the bottle and some carbon dioxide gas (that you have paid for) will seep/escape out the top.-As soon as you extract the carbonated drink from the machine IMMEDIATELY screw the top on, to prevent any escape of carbon dioxide. Ideally you want all the gas to remain in the bottle, perhaps even a little floating in the air just above the drink and below the bottle top.-Keep your sodastream bottles in the fridge before use. Carbon dioxide dissolves into water better at lower temperatures.-The line on the bottles is the MINIMUM level of drink you must put in. You can go above this; though the more you pour in, the greater pressure will accumulate in the small space of air when you carbonate, increasing risk of gaseous escape (wasting carbon dioxide).-The more you use the device, the better you will get at it. I never got things right until after my first 2 or 3 drinks.-Clean the lance and bottle holder with water immediately afterwards to ensure none of the drink dries into the working parts. A handheld schooshy water thingy (technical term of course), like used to water plants works well for me.-Pour your drinks into your glass SLOWLY at a shallow angle. In doing so, less carbon dioxide will escape, retaining the fizz for drinking. Yes, it’s fun, pouring a fizzy drink into tall glass as fast as you can and watching (and listening) as all the bubbles escape and froth collects at the top. All that’s happening is you are LOSING a load of the carbon dioxide gas (that you paid for) to the air. Carbon dioxide un-dissolves from water easily with energy (shaking or quick handling). Ideally you want to pour the drink with as much of the carbon dioxide retained so that it’ll be the heat energy from your mouth that un-dissolves the bubbles to your delight!Sodastream means that I can enjoy my favourite fizzy drinks fully carbonated even after the original bottle was opened days and days previously.Wish I’d bought this earlier.

My nana had a SodaStream 40 years ago and I would love visiting as I didn't get pop much when I was little. Now I have my own and love it. I can make Pepsi Max whenever I want and experiment too. Living on my own it means I don't need to store lots of different pops, I can make it as and when I want, what I want. Really simple to set up and use. Better for the planet too!

Don't like drinking flat water particularly but sparkling is ok. Got this over prime day sales and it's making drinking water a more positive experience. Water doesn't seem to hold the bubble for an extended period of time but it doesn't take too long to get through the size of bottle supplied with it. Like that means I'm drinking more water and that there's less plastic being used and it'll definitely work out cheaper than buying sparkling water. Overall pretty pleased with the purchase

I drink cabonated water every day, I filter the water and this makes a lovely, refreshing drink, I prefer not to add flavours, occasionally pieces of lemon.I have always drank carbonated water and felt so guilty creating more plastic waste. I have kept some of the bottles, using them to hold the drink.In terms of money saved, once you have bought the soda stream the only outlay are cylinder refills at about £15 a time I was buying packs of carbonated water 6 x 3 a week coming to £9 (weekly). The refill has lasted 4-5 weeks depending on usage. It will be a big saving, with no plastic waste.

Works a treat and has vastly reduced our plastic bottle useage. Not entirely sure about the politics of where it is made, but then I buy Indonesian satay sauce and they aren't entirely without sin. Freedom for West Papua!

I love this soda stream. I wish I had bought it years ago. Now I know that I can drink my own filtered bubbly water any time. Easy to use, no batteries, no electricity needed.
Proste i przydatne urządzenie
Sodastream jest dla wszystkich, którzy poza tym, że lubią wodę gazowaną chcą trochę zadbać o mniejsze zużycie butelek plastikowych. W zestawie jest butla z gazem i jedna butelka na wodę - warto od razu dokupić i butle z gazem i butelkę na wodę aby mieć na wymianę. Polecam, bardzo przyjemny smak wody.
Endlich keine Sauerei mehr!
Ich hatte als Vorgänger den Crystal 2.0, das Ding war eine Katastrophe. Und die Glasflaschen auch viel zu klein. Und ich hatte immer Sauerei, weil beim Sprudeln doch mal die Füllline überchritten war und dann am Ring auslief. Das Ding trocken zu legen.... Ne.Als Ersatz gabs jetzt also den Terra. Den betreibe ich mit einem Messing Adapter auch mit den alten Gas-Kartuschen, musste nur am Boden etwas Plastik heraus brechen. Passt wunderbar und funktioniert tadellos!Seitdem ich den Terra habe trinke ich wieder deutlich mehr Wasser als vorher.
