Expensive.. but the set was really great and I split it between three of us. A great fully contained activity, definitely more appropriate for older kids or adults + you can keep the tools for next time.

I like this kit as it pretty much has everything needed to get started. As stated, the clay air dries in around 3 days, depending on how large/thick the piece is. The set only has white paint, but I've used acrylic paints that I already had. This is great for adults and children and would make a lovely gift for crafty people (or people who want to get into craft).

It’s nice clay to work with but expensive compared to similar (Pot Clays version is significantly cheaper per KG) the paint and varnish are not great to apply, first attempt peeled right off. I found adding a little water helps. As a kit for the kids or bit of fun with friends it’s okay. The tools are useful and the packaging etc make it a nice gift. I bought it for practicing on the wheel, which it works just as well as standard potters clay, it also works well with plaster drape moulds, just the expensiveness put me off. All that said it’s good quality and decent clay.

I really enjoyed using this clay, and the box arrived with many useful tips and tools.However, once opened, leave the clay for around 10 minutes before sculpting otherwise it will be too sticky. I don’t know if it’s my house but the clay took around a week to fully dry where I felt comfortable to use wet paint on it.

Great for beginners!
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to try pottery but didn't know where to start: what to buy, what tools, what kind of paint, what kind of clay, what technique to use, etc.I looked for classes, and they were really expensive. The classes seemed basic; you would only learn how to make one specific item (like a mug) per class. So I opted for this kit instead and loved it!It's like having someone give you all you need and teach you all the basics. After that, I feel confident buying more clay/paint and making more stuff on my own.They have a YouTube channel with endless ideas too!The kit is more expensive than buying clay, tools and paint separately, but in the end, you're paying for the guidance... and I needed that!We were able to make one centrepiece (the one in the photo) and 2 vases with the amount of clay that came in the kit.QUICK TIP: If your clay came in dry: break it into pieces, add water, wait for it to become a paste, and let this paste dry to a play-dough consistency. There is no need to throw your clay in the trash! There are YouTube videos showing this process. One of my vases didn't turn out nice, so I just broke the entire thing, hydrated the clay and started over.
Fun time!
This kit is a fun way to spend an evening or two or three. It comes with two big packs of clay, at first I didn’t think it would be enough for me and my fiance but there was enough clay to make more than two objects! The clay doesn’t dry out too fast, so far my vase seems to be holding up very well. One of the pedals on my flower fell off but I glued it back on. It brought white paint and varnish, so I bought a $6 pack of acrylic paint on Bolo. This kit is definitely worth the money. It’s making me want to take pottery classes!
Perfect for beginners, but final product lacks quality finish
I loved it and made me start on pottery, but the final product feels a bit cheap.
