5.0 out of 5 stars My faithful friend came to the end of it's life and so...
My last de Longhi, was a different model but excellent, slightly bigger and faithfully served many a delish mug of tastiness for 6 years - till a switch failed. This one is narrower, looks rather sharp to be honest, and has a smaller foot print. I like to grind my own beans... The thing I like about it is that it can take our large size mugs, the old one could no, unless put in at an angle. So whilst it is not my old faithful friend I think in time we will become the great buddies.... Only error when ordering the first time I ordered the 110volt - not a good idea for the 240v British Isles but Bolo does good returns.!
3.0 out of 5 stars This is for UK version, with a UK plug
The 'hot water' function is a bit useless really, and slightly dangerous - it fires out in short spurts, in time with the pulsing pump. I contacted Delonghi, who said this was how it was supposed to work, and the hot water feature is only for clearing out the steam wand.It has an annoyingly small water capacity. You have to grind the beans just the right size, or else the machine just can't pump the coffee through and gives up, causing a bit mess when you take the filter holder out. You can't tap the filter holder to remove the coffee because the filter comes out. With a bit of practise though, you can get a decent coffee from it, and the steamer is good.
1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this item if you live in the UK!
This coffee machine cannot be used in the UK as the voltage on it is 120 volts whereas it needs to be 240 volts for use in the UK. Do not buy it if you live in the UK. I don't understand why Bolo are selling it in the UK, they need to remove this item for sale in the UK.However, when I rang Bolo customer support they were very helpful and immediately issued a refund (not yet received - will take 5-7 working days to appear on my card) and a QR code for a free return of the package, so I cannot fault the customer service.
1.0 out of 5 stars This Coffee machine is meant for the US Market
Please do not buy anymore from the seller , the coffee machine come with a US plug . Its doesnt not work and can cause hazard. The seller is also very slow to respond to my refund request ( After I sent back the machine)
1.0 out of 5 stars This machine is 120v
It’s the wrong voltage for use in Europe. It has a USA connector so I couldn’t plug it in. Good job as it would have probably exploded. Customer services didn’t seem to understand and it’s a load of bother to return. Read the specs to make sure you buy one suitable for 230/240V operation
1.0 out of 5 stars NOT SUITABLE FOR UK AS 110 VOLTS
This is coffee maker is not suitable for the UK as it is 110 volts and has a USA plug on it. It should not be sold in UK.
1.0 out of 5 stars DeLonghi Defuca Arte Coffee Maker EC885
Product supplied was inappropriate for use in UK (and Europe). Product that was supplied had 120 volts suitable for the North American market and not UK. Bolo should know better that electrical equipment should confirm to 220- 240 volts. Equipment also had a US plug fitted and not a 13 amp UK plug. Disappointed.

It really does Art
The media could not be loaded. I had a 3-in-one machine and knew it was time to upgrade when I saw the Delonghi Dedica Arte. Even though the Delonghi doesn't have a grinder, I bought one that didn't break the bank and the coffee is A1. First things first, the ease of use is truly there. It is straightforward to use. The steam wand has a great feel and I always steam twice after the milk for a cleaner wand. Other than the feel, the pressure is strong! Obviously, not to the level of a coffee shop machine but this is for the home and it is more than enough power. It is capable of pulling great-looking latte art. I am no barista, but even with my rookie skills, I can create art without it looking like polyps. The portafilter it comes with is good but I had to go with a bottomless. In my opinion, shots taste and look better with the bottomless portafilter. In my past machine, shots tasted way too bitter and no cream ever came from it. I can taste sweetness and body in my coffee. There is one minor problem I have with it, but I think I'm nitpicking. When I pull the shot and steam my milk, If I were to do another latte or cappuccino, I have to lower the temperature of the machine. This is done by releasing water through the steam wand, and it tends to be annoying when you have guests over. It takes about 1 to 2 minutes extra until you can pull another shot. Other than that, this machine is very very good and puts a smile on my face every morning.
Really surprised! Considerably better than the Breville Infuser.
For about 5 years I'd been using the expensive Breville Infuser (pictured) and getting "OK" coffee. Over the years the Infuser had lots of issues and I repaired it multiple times. Recently it produced an earth leakage fault so decided it was time to replace it & bought the De'Longhi EC885M. Sadly the 1st one arrived faulty - it would only pump water out the bottom onto the counter top - however Bolo promptly sent me another to replace it.I am pleasantly surprised to find the coffee from this cheaper unit is way better than the Infuser ever was. It is definitely feels more more cheaply made but it simply does what its meant to without fuss and bother. It came with a tamper of some weight which works well. You can remove the plastic tray at the bottom so larger cups / mugs fit OK. (see photo#2)The Steam Wand is a little awkward, it doesn't move quite as far up as desired but it is still fit for purpose. (See photo #3).Typically I would have eight (or so) triple shot coffees a day with the Breville, but curiously finding the taste of the coffee the De'Longhi makes is so rich and full I don't need that many and am down to five or six a day. Currently using the Cafe William Corposo beans ground quite fine and getting a nice crema with the double filter in the Sump. (The sump is deeper than the Breville Infuser was also). The coffee from this is richer and fuller tasting than the infuser ever managed. So for the price I am a huge fan. Consistently good coffee at a reasonable price.
Ótima. O café sai quentinho. É muito fácil de usar.
