So like all modellers and I include wargamers in this, we go through tools like knitters go though needles. So I needed some new nippers after my old pair eventually gave up the ghost.I thought let’s look at mid range instead of low cost and after watching various YouTube vids I settled on this set.I have to say I’m very happy with them so far. They cut through plastic easily and close to the part being removed leaving behind nearly zero nubs and no stress marks on the parts being removed.These are single blade so use them correctly and the edge should last well.

It’s early days but these seem to cut plastic parts from sprues much more easily than my old Xurons. Very little pressure is needed and the cut seems exceptionally clean. I’ve deducted one star because the spring is rather soft so they don’t spring back so well after a cut. But at this price I’m very happy.

Fit really nicely in the hand, clearly good build quality and really nice and precise. Only a tiny amount of force needed to slice through plastic sprues.Please note, there is no oil in the bottle included, but the blade should be regularly oiled to prevent rust like most high Carbon Japanese steel knifes etc.

These cut so well i struggle to find the cut edge at times.Comes with a nice storage pouch and plastic box.Cant comment on how well they will last but they seem well made. Just be sure to have something tougher for cutting heavy sprue as I’m sure the very fine blade wouldn’t take well to thick hard plastic.

The snipping side cutter tool by WISEPRO comes in a plastic storage case and comes with a small oil dropper bottle and a protective fabric cap to clip onto the snippers. The snippers measure 12cm in overall length and are available in two colours, orange and green (I received the orange version).The snipping tool is made from chrome vanadium steel with a flat head and very sharp blades so should be long lasting as long as they are well cared for. They do arrive with oil on them (which is what you can see in the photographs) so it is important to wipe them down before use and if you aren’t using them again for a while it is important to lightly oil them again after use prevent any rusting. The dropper tool included is for applying oil but you will need your own oil to fill it with (I would suggest a very light coat of mineral oil). It is also worth putting the provided fabric cover on when not in use to prevent any dents or blunting of the blades and it clips securely together with a press stud fixture.I ordered these snippers for removing support from 3D prints (resin, ABS and PLA) and for this purpose they are very good as the tool is very accurate with smooth precise cuts. The tool is best for soft plastics and metals such as plastic models and aluminium wire however, beware not to use with harder plastics or metals as this will likely affect the sharpness and either blunt or bent the blade edge.I found the snipping tool is easy to control and they cut cleaning without chewing the plastic up. They are spring loaded so you don’t have to pull them apart once you have made the cut and are ergonomic with PVC handles which provide a good level of grip. There is also a limit latch to prevent excessive force on the blades when squeezed together which could cause damage to the jaws. Priced at £22.99 at the time of reviewing, this set of snippers are very sharp and create clean cuts and I would be happy to recommend them, particularly for 3D print clean up.

These side cutters are primarily used for snipping plastic sprues from Warhammer models for us. They easily snip through that like a hot knife through butter. They don't slip so no worries about accidentally chopping a hand off or anything. Would definitely recommend as a big upgrade if you're in the market for some side snippers. The only thing that I had a problem with is that they were absolutely drenched in oil when they arrived. Overall though 5/5

Queste tronchesine sono veramente ottime. Le uso per il modellismo scala 1:35. L'impugnatura è molto confortevole e facile da pulire. Hanno un taglio netto e pulito e le punte riescono a tagliare anche piccoli particolari. Pratica la custodia e gli accessori in dotazione. Uso anche le tronchesine valtcan ma queste sono migliori.

Le uso da qualche settimana, per ora le ho usate solo su un kit real grade Gundam e devo notare che mi stanno soddisfacendo. Ho notato però che verso la fine sembravano aver perso un poco il filo. Sono sempre molto attendo e uso un altro tronchese per tagliare le parti più grosse e questo per fare l'ultimo taglio vicino al pezzo del modellino.. vedremo quanto durerà
