It does everything needed in a superb light design. Exceptionally well thought through.Very robust when extended, great build quality.Minor niggles to know, which may ease over timeBall head is not smoothest.Vertical extension bar also not super smooth.Highly recommend for everyday use

5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight but has problems

    J. · 4 February 2024

Great tripod for when remote shoots but very limited. The central column is broken into two badly connected pieces that wobble like crazy when raised up making that useless. The way you clamp down the angle of the head makes it very hard to make small adjustments to your shot.Very good as a light weight photo tripod but limited for video.Edit:If you rotate the head 90° you can tighten the wobbly part

The tripod is easy to carry around and easy to set up. Feels well built and so far has been great.

Perfect travel tripod, and in some ways better than the extremely expensive PD equivalent. Obviously it’s not for telephotos, but held my Nikon 100-400 but would go any heavier. The head can be a fiddle as it’s small, but it is a compact travel tripod after all. It comes with spikes and a case, highly recommended.

I've been using the Manfrotto Befree as a compact tripod for on-the-go shooting for many years. It's excellent, but I wanted something even more compact and lightweight. Among carbon fibre tripods of this form factor, the Peak Design offered competitive features, but its price was too high. After watching several reviews on YouTube, I decided to try this alternative for a bit less money. Here's what I like:- Weight: About 200 grams lighter than the Manfrotto, and you can really feel the difference.- Folded size.- Unfolded height is sufficient for most of my tasks.- Sturdy: Even though it's an ultralight tripod, it feels quite solid.- Interchangeable leg tips, a wrench, a convenient case, etc.-Universal Arca-Swiss mount. What I don't like:- The head rotates on the hinge axis, and if you need to quickly switch to a vertical position, it may turn at an unexpected angle. Overall, the head is not the most convenient, but the manufacturer offers the option to purchase other heads separately, which might be more user-friendly.- Occasionally, you need to tighten the screws.- The price. While it's a great and high-quality product, it's overpriced and has its imperfections.Overall, I have mixed feelings because, on the one hand, it's a premium-quality thing, but on the other hand, the price is a bit too much. I don't regret the purchase at all because, in almost a year of use, the tripod has proven itself well. However, I would like to try alternatives at a lower cost.

3.0 out of 5 stars Things seem to work loose of their own accord

    d. · 18 February 2024

First major outing was to the snow fields in Norway. I found the following issues....1. Lost a foot in the deep snow even having checked all was tight before going out2. At full extension the middle wobbles due to the join in the middle of the extension rod.3. Tool worked its way loose as tripod was carried from.place to place. Almost lost!4. Most important...camera plate works its way loose . Do not carry the camera fixed to the tripod without tightening the fixture regularly.5. If you use a specific ball head or a gimbal ... you will need the optional extra of an.additional centre rod.

Great alternative to PD but disappointed by the finishing as the cap to the ball head clamp screw is poorly glued on and has already detachedNot critical but not good.

1.0 out of 5 stars Leg Lock Has Broken

    R. · 1 July 2023

Bought as a gift from Bolo for me. Really wanted the PD carbon but the price made it unaffordable. This tripod is almost the same in every way except for the price. Really impressive tripod loved using it and it’s so compact perfect for travel. Last week though all that changed the leg locking mechanism broke on one of the legs. Now unfortunately I am unable to lock one of the legs in place as the leg is not held securely. It’s a real shame as it’s been a stellar experience up to now.

Kvalitet rakt igenom. Värsta konkurrenten kostar det dubbla. Köp!

    Piccolo negli ingombri, grande cavalletto.

    G.r. · 16 March 2023
