I recently began my photography journey, and I thought this camera would serve as a good entry-level gear. The first thing that struck me was its stunning image quality. The 33-megapixel sensor captures details with incredible clarity, delivering lifelike images that astound me every time.One of the standout features for me is the lightning-fast autofocus. The autofocus and tracking capabilities are phenomenal. Whether I'm shooting portraits or fast-moving subjects, the A7IV locks onto the subject with precision, ensuring every shot is tack-sharp.Video capabilities are also impressive. The 4K recording at 60fps combined with the in-body stabilization produces smooth, professional-grade footage. It's like having a compact cinema camera in your hands.One caveat, however, is the kit lens that comes with the camera. Kit lenses deliver average-quality images (see my sample photos), so keep in mind that you may need to invest in a better lens. But the kit lens does the job.Overall, the Sony A7IV exceeds expectations. Whether you're a professional photographer or an enthusiast looking to elevate your photography game (like me), this camera is a worthy investment. It's versatile, powerful, and a true joy to use.     After moving to the Sony FX3 for video, I decided to switch to Sony for photography, and well, wow!This is a fantastic camera, I’m using it currently with the standard f1.8 38mm lens and the f1.4 85mm g-master lens and I’m blown away, even with the “standard lens”, but stick a g master lens and it goes up another 10 notches in image quality.It’s not cheap, but it is very good. The eye tracking is decent and can make it easier to get in focus shots, especially if the subject is moving, I’ve used it with human and dog subjects and it really has performed well.You don’t get much in the box, the charger, a strap and a battery, I opted for body only since I had lenses for the FX3 and wasn’t interested in the kit lens since I mostly use prime lenses.It’s not light by any stretch, but it feels sturdy with a metal housing and exudes quality.It can take a full size SD card (just make site it’s fast enough) and also cfexpress type a cards, so there’s options there as well.

    Second a7 iv I've owned and wish I never sold the first after rebuying. Great quality product, better size grip than the 3. Impressive auto focus, 10fps (6fps in uncompressed raw) which is fast enough for me. Not really a beginner camera in terms of ease of use but always something new to discover. Great value with the kit lens, however you will want decent glass to get the most from this camera. Highly recommend

    Works well. Good size and comfortable to use. Focuses well and has facial tracking. ISO good, noise doesn't creep in until around the 5000 mark but noise reduction can easily fix that. Good value for money.

    In the official product listing for this camera it claims “We have improved the dust and moisture resistance of the a7 IV to provide outstanding reliability even in challenging outdoor shooting environments.” with an image showing new seals.My camera had a single tiny drop of rain land on it, and a dial stopped working despite it being one with "improved seals".This camera is not moisture resistant and certainly not reliable under challenging outdoor shooting environments! Which is a shame because it's otherwise a good camera.

Ci sarebbe da scrivere un trattato sulle possibilità di questa macchina. Voglio solo richiamare l'attenzione sul fatto che il mio acquisto prevedeva un zoom 28-70, a cui è seguito l'acquisto di un Sony 70-300, e che la macchina non ha un flash incorporato. Per chi dovesse decidere di acquistarlo deve tenere presente le caratteristiche dei contatti Sony.Ottimo prodotto con grandi potenzialità. E' recentissima la commercializzazione del modello successivo.

    Ich habe die Sony Alpha 7 IV seit Mai 2023 im Einsatz und nutze sie hauptsächlich für Fotografie. Nach über 8 Monaten kann ich sagen, dass diese Kamera meine Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt hat.Erster Eindruck und Verarbeitung:Die Kamera liegt perfekt in der Hand und fühlt sich auch nach längeren Sessions angenehm an. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist hervorragend, und die Alpha 7 IV vermittelt sofort ein hochwertiges Gefühl.Menü und Bedienung:Das Menü ist zwar nicht das schönste, aber es bietet extrem viele Möglichkeiten und Anpassungen. Nach kurzer Eingewöhnung wird deutlich, wie mächtig die Kamera in puncto Einstellungen ist.Bildqualität und Leistung:Die Bildqualität ist einfach herausragend – von Landschaftsaufnahmen bis hin zu Astrofotografie liefert die Alpha 7 IV gestochen scharfe und detailreiche Bilder. Besonders bei schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen zeigt die Kamera ihre Stärken.Akkulaufzeit:Für meine Nutzung – hauptsächlich Fotos und nur kurze Videos – ist die Akkulaufzeit absolut ausreichend. Ich hatte bisher keine Situationen, in denen ich über mangelnde Laufzeit klagen musste.Allerdings gehöre ich zu den Leuten, die immer mindestens 3 Akkus dabei haben.Fazit:Die Sony Alpha 7 IV ist für mich die perfekte Kamera für hochwertige Fotoaufnahmen. Sie bietet exzellente Bildqualität und liegt fantastisch in der Hand. Wer eine leistungsstarke Hybridkamera sucht, macht mit der Alpha 7 IV nichts falsch.
