I thought I was getting traditional honey soaked Baklava. These horrible things were dry and covered in sugar syrup. I kept thinking these taste like treacle so I looked at the packaging and they were quite open about it that they were covered in sugar syrup. So disappointed as I’d been so looking forward to them. Don’t buy.

Although these have a good use by date they taste as if they are well past their use by date. They are soft and taste stale, there is no crunch to the filo pastry whatsoever. The cheaper ones sold in supermarkets are far superior to these. I would sadly not recommend at all.

Baklava was something I first tasted back in 1963, in a quayside cafe in Piraeus. Never tire of the delightful stickiness.

I was excited to try this baklava but I was ultimately disappointed. The baklava was very dry and lacked flavour. I could barely taste the nuts, and the syrup was too sweet. I also noticed that the baklava had a strange aftertaste that I couldn't quite identify.
