I was not sure about obtaining this lens because of a number of 'negative' reviews. After having and using the lens for a while now I find it an excellent lens given the parameters it needs to work within. Whenever you design something (and yes everything is designed by someone, including the things we photograph) we have to take into account the laws of physics, chemistry and biology that exist and work. This lens does a very good job for providing the ability to take photographs under many circumstances in the field. Of course no lens covers everything and the current technology doesn't have the ability to reach as some would like but I do feel that a number of the negative comments you see around are more to do with a bias toward camera brand loyalty than objective fairness.If you have a Fuji camera with an XF mount, this is a very good lens - even with the 2x teleconverter. I have picked up details from quite a long distance. Of course it can't do everything, but then neither can any lens by any brand.

The lens is really nice and appears to be a quality item. However after just two days it refused to work. Error message when connecting to the camera stating turn off and on again. Did this and didn’t work. I’ve had to return the lens. It’s slightly worrying that there are two other reviews here with exactly the same fault.

Ganz im ernst, vergesst die so oft schlecht geredete Blende, vergesst das Gewicht und vergesst den Preis, weil unterm Strich ist das Fujinon XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR, meiner Meinung nach, das beste Wildlife-Objektiv für den X-Mount 👌Es ist hervorragend verarbeitet, Wetterfest, Bild stabilisiert und gerade in Verbindung mit einer XH2s oder XS20 so richtig flott.Das Fujinon 150-600 harmoniert so traumhaft gut mit meiner XH2s, das ich meine Sony A7VI mit dem Sony 200-600 zu keinem Zeitpunkt mehr vermisse 😄Ganz im Gegenteil, 900mm am langen Ende sind mal so richtig nice und endlich hab ich auch eine wirklich effektive und smoothe Bildstabilisierung, welche es möglich macht, selbst mit 1/60 aus der Hand noch scharfe Bilder zu machen und das bei der Brennweite, das ist einfach nur grandios 👌Ach so, und zu keinem Zeitpunkt muss ich mehr Sorge haben, vom Wetter überrascht zu werden, das ist ein so herrliches, befreiendes Gefühl 😊F8 ist zu schwach für APS-C? Blödsinn!Ja klar hätte ich mich auch über f6.3 oder f4 gefreut, aber man kann nun mal nicht alles haben und das Objektiv ist gut so wie es ist 👍Selbst bei wenig Licht brauch ich selten mehr als ISO3200 und das sieht auch auf dem kleinen Sensor, meiner Meinung nach, immer noch so gut aus, dass ich kaum noch Bilder aus RAW ziehe, sondern vielmehr JPEG out of Cam nutze.Zu schwer? Nein, meiner Meinung nach nicht und ich trage die Kombination aus Fujinon XF150-600 und XH2s oft stundenlang und Kilometer weit durch die Weltgeschichte. Entweder einfach nur am Stativfuß des Objektivs, oder per, an diesem befestigten Peak Design Slide Gurt.Ach so ja, auch wenn als Material viel Kunststoff zum Einsatz kommt, ich empfinde die Verarbeitung und Haptik dem Preis mehr als angemessen und was ich ganz besonders erwähnenswert finde, das Objektiv ist Made in Japan und hat einen Arca-Swiss kompatiblen Objektivfuß👌Wo bitte findet man das sonst noch 🤷🏻♂️Ok ja, der Eimer welcher als Gegenlichtblende fungiert, könnte gern etwas stabiler sein, weil der wirkt wahrlich etwas schwach auf der Brust 😬Aber ich glaube man merkt unschwer meine Euphorie und ja, dass Fujinon XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR ist eines der Objektive, welches mich wirklich immer wieder auf’s neue begeistert und ich hatte schon echt viele Objektive 😉*die beigefügten Fotos sind alle mit der XH2s entstanden und ausschließlich unbearbeitete JPEG, so wie sie aus der Kamera kommen.
The lens had a problem
Unfortunately, when I put the lens on the camera I constantly received the error message '! TURN THE CAMERA OFF AND TURN IT ON AGAIN'. The packaging was a little damaged but the lens seemed to be in good condition. It's a shame I couldn't use it.

compact et léger pour un équivalent 900 mm
Essentiellement pour de la photo animalière et de la proxiphoto ,c'est de la bombe (Fuji oblige) !...l'ouverture à F8 à 600 mm n'est pas du tout pénalisante ,il faut accepter la montée en iso et encore avec la stabilisation on arrive à faire de superbes photos à la vitesse de 1/250 ,couplé au multiplicateur fuji 1.4 ,il n'y a aucune perte, c'est impressionnant(1300 mm) ...... En fait que du bonheur , Merci Monsieur FUJI !.....
