Great machine had one for years, a part of the motor broke but had it so long was very happy to replace with the same one.

Although this was a great product at first my wife put the bottle in the dishwasher, this make it shrink and became unusable, I will be honest we threw away the instructions that probably told us not to so I take accountability for that. This aside, I found the product great and easy to use plus the bonus of it being so handy when your at work and still want to have your smoothies!

It tackled all the frozen fruit and blended it really well. Only issue I have is 2 of the kids have broken already, the clasp part so unable to use for outside the house really.

Do not buy ! See last para for response from BrevilleBlender was great when it worked. We used it twice per day for about 6 weeks. Bought an extra bottle after a couple of uses. Then the cogs broke. I did read the reviews that descrbed this fault but took a chance. Big mistake ! Take notice of the reviews. This is clearly a common fault and from reading comments of others it seems Breville decided to change the cogs from sturdy hard plastic to rubber. And the rubber breaks. Past the 30 day Bolo return deadine so now havibg to go through Breville Customer Support. Let's see how that goes. Do we take a replacement which will almost certainly break like the first ? Or do we fight for whatever money we can get back knowing we have two bottles that can only then be used as drinking glasses ?Update: 3 days after contacting Breville got this response “Well, we have implemented necessary changes to maintain the high quality of Blend Active Blenders. The appliances were tested under every angle: heat resistance, thermal endurance and durability. No fault was found after our several examinations.We underlined in the instruction manual to operate the unit no longer than 30 seconds at a time; otherwise teeth from black cog may peel”.No offer of refund or replacement. And a massive assumption that we had not followed the 30 second instructions.2nd Update: The responses from the the "Consumer Care" team get even worse. Latest response after me saying I was disgusted in their initial email they opened with "I am very sorry to hear that you are "disgusted" by the facts". Then went on with information which demonstrated they had not read the detail in my email.Please note Breville in the UK is not part of the world-wide Breville Group. By trying to escalate this I have found that Breville in the UK is owned by Newell Brands.

The media could not be loaded. I love how quickly it makes a smoothie, it took 15 seconds to blend a smoothie made with frozen raspberries, banana and some oat milk (see the video). Each smoothie has a really nice consistency without lumps and it's easy to drink. My daughter loves these smoothies.I also often use it to make green smoothies with spinach, banana, cucumber and apple juice.I love this breville smoothie maker and blender for its price and how portable it is. Great value for money.Easy to use, clean and good on the go, too.I use it every day to make smoothies for my family.I love the portable lid attachment and having two bottles is handy, too.An essential piece of equipment in my kitchen now, I use it a lot more now than I use my very expensive Vitamix!

I was looking for a blender that I could use to blend nuts and frozen fruits for my breakfast smoothies but didn't want to spend a fortune. This Breville Blend Active Personal Blender & Smoothie Maker is absolutely perfect for it. It's quite a simple blender compared to some of the more expensive models, but it does the job great.The build quality is good for the price, and the lead is a decent length. I ordered the Blue colour and it looks great in my kitchen. My sister has the Pink one, and that looks nice too. They have a very minimalist and elegant design, which complements any kitchen decor.The blender comes with 2 large 600ml blending bottles with leak-proof lids and even recipe ideas if you're new to making smoothies. The blending bottles have a generous capacity, enough for a couple of small smoothies or a larger one. They click into the blender base unit really easily and feel secure during use. The lids haven't leaked on me yet but don't feel particularly sturdy. As long as you keep them upright when on the move, you shouldn't run into any issues.The blender itself is incredibly simple and easy to operate. The bottle screws into a blade attachment which you then insert into the base unit. It has a one-touch blending button which you press and hold until your smoothie is blended to the desired consistency. This gives you total control over the blender, which is ideal for when a drink or recipe requires a different consistency. Once you've finished blending, you unscrew the blade attachment from the bottle and replace it with a lid. That's it! You're all good to go. The process takes seconds from start to finish.I was curious to see how well it blends ice, and it does a fantastic job. The motor has more than enough power to blend even larger cubes of ice with ease. Although the manual advises against hot liquids, I did try blending a soup and it worked fine, but I wouldn't recommend doing it often.It is quite loud, but most blenders are, and it doesn't really bother me. As long as it does the job well, I can put up with a little loudness. The blender is very easy to clean. The blending occurs in the top of the bottle, so nothing gathers in the base unlike most blenders. The detachable blade and blending bottles make the process simple and quick to wash by hand or in a dishwasher as they are also dishwasher-safe.At its current price, it's exceptional value for money for a blender, especially for one from such a well-trusted brand. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this item to anyone looking for a cheap and reliable blender for smoothies and drinks.Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Read reviews and was a bit sceptical about buying as read some broke, but I've used as manufacturer's instructions and you only need a few seconds to blend so no where near the maximum 30 seconds , it blends well and I love it, very easy to unbox and set up in minutes, easy to clean you won't be disappointed
