5.0 out of 5 stars Fits My Neewer 480 light 👍🏻
Took a chance on it fitting my older Neewer 480 LED light as it looked the same dimensions as the 600 series and luckily enough it fits perfectly.Easy to install and once it’s on its very strong and rigid.Softens the harshness of the light nicely the only thing that would be better would be a bigger soft box for this kind of lamp but if you are stuck for space this one is hard to beat, it’s a bit expensive for what it is though .
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for beginers
This is great for keen photographers looking to experiment and expand their portfolio.Very portable, light weight and appears well made, i personally struggle with the quality of the grid, i don't think it makes that much of a difference yet my husband who has a more critical eye and attention to detail than i do says their are subtle differences. The soft box was a bit tricky to put on but this could ahve been because it's brand new, any way once on it really does pay for itself with shots and video's.The specific Neewer modesl are clearly stated in the product description so do check the model numbers carfeully.Excellent value for money, very well made and really does give the money shot/video this simple cover can really enhance your portfolio or product .
4.0 out of 5 stars Does it do what a softbox should?
Neewer flat panel softbox**Before the review (but necessary)**The softness of light is determined by the size of the light source and distance from that light source. The purpose of a softbox is to make light softer. Ok, now for the review.** Does it work **Yes and no. See photos attached with red light about 1m from a wall. The softbox is only marginally larger than the light it is designed to modify (in my case one of the compatible lights from the same manufacturer - the 660 RGB) so the 'softbox' doesn't actually make the light source bigger (and hence no softer). All you really get is less light, thanks to the extra diffusion. That said, it does offer one light modification - the grid / egg crate. As you will see from the photo, if you are ok with the loss of light, you will get more narrow light spread. However, the 660 RGB light comes with barn doors which also help manage light spread. You can see its not quite as effective as the grid, but not far off.** Build quality **The 'box' itself is well made, with hard sides. The diffusion panel attaches by velcro and then the whole thing just attaches to the light with two velcro straps that wrap around it. It doesn't feel super robust but as it's a small softbox it seems to get away with it.** Conclusion **As a softbox, for me it adds little value. If you really need to narrow light spread then you could justify this fie the use of the grid but otherwise just use the barn doors to control the light.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant lightbox
Gives off a brilliant light. Easy to set up and comes with a carry case for ease. Great value for money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and very bright
This 12.2 x 11.4 foldable softbox diffuser is great..It comes with its all necessary attachments (grid and bag) and Is extremely bright and powerful. It has a hood made out of blackout fabric which prevents light leakage and is overall really easy to set up and use.. it’s made a massive difference to the quality of my YouTube videos and creates a great bright and Evan atmosphere. Highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to carry around, still large enough for good portraits
This is a great softbox for events where larger modifiers are impractical, this is small and light enough to carry easily and also bit enough to still give nice portrait light, it comes with a bag and even a grid so you really can focus the light, it's well made and overall I really like it, recommended to all.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fiddly to install but provides soft directional lighting
I used this item with a Neewer 660 Pro LED panel I use in video and photography projects. The kit itself arrives in very small packaging and the whole thing would fit into almost any lighting kit bag.ASSEMBLYThis is a fiddly softbox to assemble, it took me 10 minutes and various swear words to get it looking ok to use. Fist you use the stiffened outer portion of the softbox, which is secured around the panel with velcro, then you attach the diffuser screen, grid and blackout material. It is fairly logical to fit but so fiddly on first time use, Im hoping I can get better as I use it more but frustration was the key word of this assembly.USEIt does exactly what I wanted it to, diffuses and controls the light from the LED panel so I can use it as a fill or soft key light in video.CONCLUSIONWhie useful and effective I think a faster method of attaching it would be better, forexample using the screws that the barn door uses or something so I dont have to look like Im completing a MENSA test infront of clients when assembling and attaching it. That said it does diffuse the light and control it so you can create more directional lighting and realistically thats what I needed. Overall the only solution I have used and while irritating to use initially it does what its supposed to and therefore if you are more patient than me I can recommend it.
Fits Neweer RGB480
Fits Neewer RGB480 just fine.
Lo mejor
Mejor inversión que hice para mí, Studio
That grid mesh is not really needed.
Bought these for a different set of NEEWER lights than advertised. They don't fit perfectly, but you can still make them work on the 530 RGB model. Not an experienced photographer, but I don't think the mesh serves any purpose other than cutting out a bit of the light. I found it counter-productive for my needs.
