5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for what you get
Purchased this as a Lego hammer for my wife. She saw someone using one on the telly and insisted she had one! An initial search revealed that there doesnt seem to be any official or licensed hammers specifically intended to whack Lego bricks together. My wife and I are quite avid Lego builders and whilst we have survived many years without the need for a hammer, sometimes pieces just need a little extra persuasion. The hammer itself is perfectly sized (not too big or too small), imagine an ideal hammer size for a ten year old carpenter and you get the idea. It comes double ended, one side is black rubber and the other a clear yellow resin. As a bonus you also receive two spare heads which is nice, although i cant imagine doing any damage to the hammer simply tapping Lego together. The grip is also rubber which allows for a good and secure hold. I dont see why you couldn't use this for any standard DIY project that required a little less impact than a metal headed hammer (tapping wood together for example). Ultimately, I went for the cheapest hammer I could find that seemed like it would do the job, and so far this hasn't disappointed. Moreover, my wife now smacks little lego bricks together with a big smile on her face. Major brownie points!
4.0 out of 5 stars Quite a handy item.
I bought this hammer mainly to knock some tacks into the bookcase I'd ordered.I was just right for me to hold and having to be able to put on a rubber hammer made it easier to knock the tacks in .

Rubber handle kept moving
4.0 out of 5 stars Budget-friendly rubber mallet
Our last rubber mallet has served us well for about 25 years, but it was time to finally replace it. This isn't the same level of quality, though costs significantly less. The construction is solid enough and the rubber grip stops any slipping. There's both a rubber and nylon head, and a spare of each, which was an appreciated touch. Replacing the heads is just a case of screwing them in/out.Beyond the build quality, it worked well enough. I hammered a few loose tacks back in place and it did the job intended. No real faults with it. Hammers are pretty basic tools, and this gets all the basics right. Happy to have it in the house, for when it's needed.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great value budget mallet
This is only a basic, budget rubber mallet, but it does its job just fine and is ideal for DIY use. Good value.
