    I've bought 26 pairs of these over the past few months (so 52 plugs in total) for my home cinema and garden sound systems. Overall I'm very happy with the quality and sound. If you are a true Hi-Fi connoisseur you may prefer platinum plugs but if you are more in function, value and quality these will do just fine.Across all 52 plugs there were no defects and although I purchased then in 3 different orders (11 speakers with plugs at both ends require 22 plugs - who knew?), the quality has been consistent throughout.If you are on the fence about buying banana plugs because you think that connecting bare wires to binding posts does the same job, just order some plugs. Even two pairs to get you started. The second you want to move or test something you'll be thankful you made the decision, let alone swap out your AV receiver. Thank me later.

    I’m not an expert in audio connections and I’m sure there are plenty of very expensive and incredible alternatives to these but for anything less than a purpose built listening room, I’m confident that such connectors will make a significant impact – not on the audio quality but on the admin of plugging cables in compared with the tedium and dexterity limit testing "direct" approach.With regards to this specific product I found a perfect match of form and function.I like the dual screws used to hole the wire in place, and found the screw-on cover to be satisfying to attach.The design, from an aesthetic perspective, also pleased me, with a pleasing visual identity applied tastefully to the cover.They include spare screws and a set of clear instructions.I will buy more.

    Nakamichi is a well-known name in the world of upmarket HiFi. I wanted these plugs to terminate the speaker cables for my TV surround system. Among this class of screw-in banana plugs they are priced about in the middle. As you need four plugs per speaker the cost can quickly add up in a modern 7.1 system. One can of course just screw down the bare wires onto the amp or speaker terminals but my experience has been that these connections work loose over time and their general inaccessibility meant that I wanted something that would remain tight over time without needing re-tightening. I used QED 79 strand cable - no need for anything more fancy for the surround sound speakers - which I think is 14 AWG and was a perfect fit. Two points I would make in response to complaints by other reviewers. 1) There is not much clearance between the cover and the heads of the screws on the body of the plug that secure the cable - certainly not if the insulation is left on the cable where the rearmost screw is located. As a consequence the screw head will protrude and foul the cover and prevent it locating properly. So you have to strip the cable back far enough to enable both screws to locate onto bare wire - it all seems to be held in place perfectly securely. 2) Some have complained that the banana plug is a very tight fit in some sockets. I treat the socket and the plug with Servisol beforehand which acts both as a cleaner and a lubricant and sorts out the problem.

    A good looking functional design. The outer sleeve screws on from the banana plug side so you don't have to slide the wire through it before attaching the wire to the plug. They also come with a spare grub screw. But what really impressed me was that a spare set of shorter grub screws for use with thicker AWG 10 wire is included.Recommended.

    Dudo que sean fabricados por la Nakamichi original (la marca legendaria de los 80's) pero cumplen su función al 100% y se sienten bien hechecitos. Facilísimos de instalar. En cuanto al sonido... bueno no entro en discusiones de audiófilos alucinantes, pero se oyen igualito que con el cable conectado directo al poste.
