The stand is sturdy, but speaker is just held by the tension of a tight base, no springs or screws to hold it securely. It CAN fall off.

Product arrived in a damaged box that looked like it had been opened before. When I opened it, the hardware packet had already been opened and several screws were missing. Not only that, but the stand itself was obviously scratched and damaged.I returned the first product and ordered a replacement, which arrived with even more missing pieces! Finally gave up and ordered a stand elsewhere
