    These timers are great, you can see the screen easily and hear the bleeps, I bought four two for me and 2for family member, they are a little more expensive but are very sturdy and take ordinary batteries (supplied) not the little fiddly things, altogether great timers

    I used to have a timer on my old gas cooker, but there isn’t one on my new one. This timer is really good, simple to operate and I use it for a few different things. It looks more expensive than it was, and not out of place in my new kitchen. I set the timer for my cooking and take it with me into whichever room, so I always hear the beeping when the time is up.

    The timer works alright and it's quite easy to set. Unfortunately, the magnet on the back of the timer does not seem to be very magnetic and the timer tends to slide down the side of the appliance which it is fixed too. Quite annoying.

    Ours is attached magnetically to the front lip of the large stainless steel hob extractor fan housing above the gas hob. In that position, it is easy to use, both in terms of button pushing and reading the display. Previously, we had a clockwork, magnetic timer with a maximum setting of 60 minutes. Programming this digital timer is simply use of the left button to count up minutes (up to 99), either by single presses or by holding, for it to race a bit. We don't bother with seconds. Then the right button is used to start the count-down, which decrements the display a second at a time. Resetting to 00:00 is done by simultaneous use of two fingers on minutes and seconds buttons. We are learning, but the biggest problem has been forgetting to start the count-down. At the end of operation, the display reverts to the last period set, so seeing 20:00 could mean that the count-down finished and we did not hear the bleeping, or just that we forgot to start the count-down. After a while of bleeping, it goes silent rather than continuing to bleep, but the bleep period is long enough for it to not normally go unheard. The device is a great improvement on our 40-year old clockwork technology and looks very smart.

    I regret buying 2 of these. Firstly, the magnets are not strong enough. I put it on the fridge and it slides down so I need another magnet to hold it in place. Secondly, it is not loud at all. My old one with a week battery was louder than these. Save your money...I wouldn't recommend this item.

    The small, pathetic magnet came out of the back of one after two or three times hanging it on the stove. The supplied battery in the other completely discharged without any use within a few days. The alarm is almost inaudible, can't hear in the kitchen when exhaust fan or water is running.

    I purchased this timer to replace one just like it, that I had bought so long ago that I couldn’t remember where or when I got it. This timer sticks to the side of the microwave just like the last one and appears to be very good quality. I would purchase again.

    Ive been using these for years at home when I'm cooking or doing projects. Last one lasted maybe 10 years or so. Rarely have to change batteries and the alarm is very clear wherever you are in the house
