I bought this humidifier in February. It is very quiet and I personally love all the functionality that it offers with the app. Recently it stopped working so I emailed Levoit, the manufacturer. The asked for some pictures and a video and very quickly and simply offered a replacement, which I received within a week of my first email to them. The customer service is great, so quick and efficient. They didn’t even requested me to return the faulty humidifier. I definitely recommend the product and brand.

I bought two of these because I have a dry eye problem and need more moisture in the air. It works very well, is silent, pairs easily with my phone and I can manage both devices from my phone. You need to clean them regularly to avoid bacteria build up but they are easy to clean. There is a small filter too. They give you a spare one but I haven't checked to see how easy it is to get more (or how often they need changing). All in all, despite the bit of faff and the cost of distilled water, I'm pleased that I bought these.

Purchased to replace another make which died after over enthusiastic cleaning . There were two Levoit models which suited our needs but we chose this one as it had a slightly larger footprint with lower height so we thought it less likely to be knocked over and also we though this looked better than the other one with the faux wooden lid.The illustrations appeared to show the container as clear, in reality it is slightly obscured which I prefer as it won't show every water mark. The build quality is excellent, our previous model was some years old and issues that had have been designed out making it very easy to clean, and they do need to be cleaned regularly, in our area plastic gets a pink coating which I believe is bacteria from the water nothing to do with the humidifier.The app is excellent though once a schedule is set up to turn on and off I never touch it.Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this because my favourite plant started developing brown marks on the leaves (see photo). I water it with water filled with nutrients (pond water) and am super careful not to over or under water either. I did lots of research and the only thing left to try was humidified air. Before purchasing, I checked the humidity level in the room and it was rather low (plus this time of year with heating on a lot makes it worse) so I bought this specifically for the plants and I have to say, I absolutely love it! I know that's not the idea, I realise the plants have to love it too and only time will tell if they do but it has an app you can download where you can easily monitor the humidity levels in the room and also add plants so you know what levels of humidity each plant likes and then set it to 'auto' to keep the humidity level in that range (its stops automatically when it has reached that level). Not only that but it is extremely quiet (I can't hear it at all), it's easy to re-fill and each time lasts a very long time (so you don't have to keep re-filling it). In addition, the container for refilling is very easy to remove and put back on and you only have to take that to the tap not take the whole unit). There is a directional hole at the top and is a good size that you can 'hide' it behind the plant pot itself if you want. I've started moving it around the house now as other plants are complaining about favouritism. And finally I've also used it in the bedroom to stop my husband coughing so much when he had man-flu and it seemed to do the trick (he won't admit it made a difference because we all know that nothing can be done about man-flu but I know it did because he stopped coughing and managed to get some sleep). So good all round!
3.0 out of 5 stars Do your research to make sure a humidifier is exactly what you really want
I did do what seemed like quite a bit of research before purchasing. I suggest other possible purchasers might perhaps want to do the same AT VERY LEAST. With so many choices, I narrowed down the large-volume humidifiers to those from Elechomes and Levoit – which seem to be the joint brand leaders and not a awful lot of difference between them. I live in a soft water area and so the recommendation about using distilled water (not heavily emphasized) didn't seem like a deal breaker. My main room gets rather dry and this seemed like a good solution.The model arrives well-packed with a flurry of little instruction books and a tips book. I decided to try it out with tap water. The "tips" include "don't place it on the floor", "don't place it near a wall or large object' and a host of other things. Visually it is just about 'ok' but not the sort of thing you want as a centrepiece, so forget about putting it in an unobtrusive corner. The blue indicator lights at least suggest it is not just a cheap piece of plastic. I doubt, however, that the humidity level indicator is accurate. Two other humidity level indicators in the room reported much lower levels but the Levoit indicator also acts as a cut-off once the alleged level is reached (so if you think it's not enough, set it higher than you need).In a large room it takes quite a while for any noticeable effect. The mist is blown about 12 inches up, so not having it a low height or near the floor makes sense (though buying a special tower to out it on seems excessive). I placed it on a sideboard. They recommend placing it on a towel, but nothing got wet, including the small towel I used and none of the surrounding area. It takes a long time for the 'warm mist' mode to heat up and even then the warmth is barely noticeable unless a finger is held directly over the opening.While it was doing it's best to humidify the room, I decided to google some medical literature regarding the health benefits. The Levoit documents suggest that distilled water is to be used to avoid "white bits" being deposited on surfaces. This presumably is the result of mineral deposits in the water. The medical studies I looked at were far less bothered about that but they did suggest, at least with the humidifiers they used, that long-term damage to the lungs from particles misted out of non-distilled water could outweigh the benefits of balanced humidity.I was a little concerned but not for a short term. After two evenings' use, the water tank was empty so I searched Bolo to see how much distilled water would cost me at that rate. Look it up: THE COST IS A NOT INCONSIDERABLE ADDED COST. As I hadn't purchased it for short-term use – and wasn't that impressed overall given the various reservation I mentioned above – I decided to return it.I would say that if you want a machine to keep a greenhouse or plants room humidified it's probably a good choice. The remote works well and is more convenient to use than the built in panel. IT was quite easy to fill with water and didn't leak. If you are thinking of it for a living area of office however, possibly pause before purchasing.
Works as advertised and SUPER quiet
1. Super quiet - REALLY! (Compared to two other brands/models I purchased, this one beat them both by far in terms of overall noise level--I can hardly hear it while it's on/running!)2. Works as advertised; Smart features via the app are easy to set up and use, including daily, weekly, or just weekends on/off scheduling (you pick the day[s] and time frames[s]). The one-time timer feature is also a nice touch (e.g., auto on or off in minutes or up to 24 hours). Can also turn off the digital display while it's on/running. Also love the graph report on the app as to how much humidity is currently in the room and how the unit regulates the humidity based on the setting you've chosen.3. Very easy to fill and clean; best to use distilled (or very well filtered) water. However, I have not used the aromatherapy feature (putting drops directly into the bottom tank worries me about how easy that would be to clean after use).4. The Auto setting is a nice touch since it doesn't always stay on constantly (unless, of course, it needs to) and therefore saves water. So far I'm pleasantly surprised by how long the less than 1 gallon tank lasts when filled to the Max level. Low and High settings are also available if you want/need constant humidity.5. Third-party voice control (Alexa or Hey Google) is a nice touch too.6. Sturdy and nicely well-built.

They are too small
The product description says they are compatible for the model LV600 HH, but they are not fitted for this model, they are too small. Also selling at a ridiculous price.
